Most of the problem here is there is no full time director here. My mother's room lacked a ceiling fan in the bathroom. Just a hole in the ceiling. The "part time" director said it would be repaired, but 6 months and was still not fixed when my mom moved out. Always a problem with her medications. Most every month she would be out of something before it was due to refill. Mostly her muscle relaxers, then lastly her UTI medication. The staff was very nice, I have no complaint about how my mother was treated. I really feel sorry for them as they only get to work 4 days a week so that the owner does not have to pay for any benefits. The building is run down, the plumbing is backing up in patients showers, the room's doors are so heavy they can hardly open them without it hitting themselves in the ankles, boards are popping off the side of the building, one of the lights has been needing to be replaced for atleast 6 months as it would harm someone with epilpsey. I could go on, but just to let you know the place is for sale, anyway. I would not recommend this assisted living due to the fact they have no real director to see to the issues here.

My grandmother has lived at Great Grands for over a year. The caregivers have loved and cared for her as they would a family member and we have been extremely pleased with the care she received. The management and staff really care and go the extra mile to make it feel like home. The home is clean and smells fresh and homemade meals are served. My Grandma has made many friends who helped care for her as well. Great Grans has been a blessing to our family.

My mother has been at Great Grans for 18 months with extreme dementia. The director and staff have been extremely caring and respectful. They love my mom like she’s their own family. It has been a blessing to have her here! I would highly recommend it!❤️❤️❤️

The man who had coerced her into letting him have control of both her heath care and finances, put her in this place instead of a nursing home to save money--it was her money, not his. I blame him and the person who admitted her knowing full well she was in need of skilled care not babysitters. People, there is a big difference in these two types of facilities. Do not make this mistake by not knowing the difference or by trusting people who are in charge of your family member to do what should have been done. The right decision should have been made by a staff membe for financial gain. They prey on them like a lion on a lamb so a keep a close eye on your loved ones because if you don't, someone else will. This should have never happened, but it does all of the time. I do not blame those staff members at Great Grans who tried to help my mother, but the one that didn't, it is on you. May God forgive you, but I do not. I have repeatedly requested my mom's medical records since her death on March 29, 2024. I was told they will not give them to me because of the power of attorney obtained by this con man when she was alive. The power of attorney ends at her death so please do the right thing now by sending her medical records to me. This is the very least you could do given what you put my mother through. I would like the owner of this facility to contact me at the phone number that you called many times to tell me lie after lie that my mother was doing well then beg me to come and get her and bring her home knowing I couldn't because of a power of attorney obtained by a friend of yours who put her there in the first place and you knew that.
