I lived there a little about 23 years ago. Let me begin by saying that I have a traumatic brain injury, and that's why I was there. People with brain injuries are often wrongly placed into group homes. I moved into my own place soon after leaving. I'm not sure if the problems have improved, but I doubt it. Honestly compared to other group homes, I've been in it wasn't any worse, but this still doesn't excuse this home. The owner of the home had a parakeet, which was in the main TV viewing area.It was named Tiki, and would loudly squawk every hour of the day. It was extremely loud, and annoyed everyone. Parakeets live a very long time, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was still there. They also failed to clean the group showers after use. This is where I caught a terrible case of toe nail fungus (Onychomycosis), that I am still battling today. They had a foot doctor , who came to examine feet, because most patients had diabetes. there diets were very poor, and I wouldn't be suprised if one of the diabetic residents had it first. I asked this doctor what it was, and what to do about it, and his only answer was "I see a lot of *this* here." What kind of *doctor* doesn't even tell a person, what they have?

Have been a resident for over a decade. I am so happy here. I love the animals and quiet environment. The place is very clean and the staff are so helpful and kind. Get to go on activities such as camping and swimming.
