Edencrest at Green Meadows

My sister left a good review because she lives there. I have been trying to call my mother a week and a half. Tonight after 4 times in 1 day I call main line. The memory care units phone doesn't work. Understand I have been trying to call since before Valentines. I am being nice with the 2 stars as this is the second time I have not been able to get hold of my mother for a long period of time. Not acceptable poorly run.

Everyone at the Johnston Edencrest have been amazing. My mom has settled in nicely and we couldn't be happier. Thank you to all the people that have helped my mom feel at home.

When my Mom's dementia began progressing, we made the decision to move her from Nebraska to be closer to family. After touring several assisted living facilities with memory care, we knew that Edencrest @ Green Meadows was the right choice. We were impressed on our first visit with the administrator and nursing service leadership. The community is smaller than many others, and the layout was perfect for Mom. Essentially, she had to walk down a short hallway, make one turn, and she had access to the dining room, lobby, and gaming area. Mom truly enjoyed her time at Edencrest @ Green Meadows, and we felt very comfortable with the care she received. The entire staff provided the attention, compassion, and interaction she required. Her one-bedroom apartment had everything she needed and was well-maintained. The meal service provided great food selections, and Mom loved the live musical entertainment, exercise classes, bingo, and playing bags. The activities director made sure there was always something to do, allowing residents the opportunity to enjoy something fun during the week. While weekends were quieter, we understood the staffing challenges in elder care and appreciated the consistent quality of care. Edencrest @ Green Meadows was certainly the right choice for my Mom. There are larger, newer communities, but in our opinion, none better. Thank you, Rebecca, Ashlyn, and Trudy, for your caring leadership and the difference you made in Mom's life.

Our dad, Lee, was a resident at Edencrest at Green Meadows for 3 years before passing away last December. My sister and I are so appreciative of the staff who helped take care of him over that time period--the directors, nurses, activity directors, CNA's, physical, speech, and occupational therapists, cooks, servers, front desk receptionists, marketing directors, cleaners, handymen, bus drivers, laundry personnel, and haircutters. The staff was always friendly and caring, and many of them went above and beyond to help our dad. So much so, that we came back to visit from out of state last week to thank the staff for all they had done. We would highly recommend Edencrest at Green Meadows if you have a family member in need.

Thanksgiving Dinner was wonderful! Very nice size group of guests and residents. The Green Meadows team did a wonderful job. Good food, good people and lots of smiles!
