Edencrest Riverwood in Des Moines Iowa. I have to say that at Edencrest my Mother was shoved to the hard floor in the kitchen area by another patient! Since that happened my Mom has lost 6 lbs. She now weighs 82 lbs. Her back has been hurting her so bad that she can’t eat. Took her to Dr today. Also she is moved into a new place now that is much better. We had 3 weeks to find her a new place as they made her leave after the incident happened! That was their answer of what to do about it! I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. No compassion whatsoever!! This picture was taken today at her new place. I am so relieved that she is out of that horrible place. One more thing to say (when I went to Edencrest to start packing my Mother’s things to move her she was layin asleep on her bed and guess who was hovering over her ). The same person that threw her to the kitchen floor!! Very scary I didn’t have her stay there that night! Took her home with me! It was so unbelievable . I wouldn’t let a rat stay there not even for one night!! Vicki

This place is horrible. The staff turnover all the time and then are short of staff. They won’t return calls either from the place or headquarters. The nurse is a complete joke. They charge extra for everything so don’t believe in the price they give. My mom got COVID and died. It was handled totally unprofessionally. No phone call. They charged her for 15 additional days after her death just because they can.

i would rate this facility lower if I could. They put my mom in a cleaning closet when they found bed bugs. The closet had no bathroom facilities. My daughter found my mom soaked and filthy in her " room" at noon. They also had all of my mom's new furniture destroyed and refused to repay or replace it.
