I have a roommate who needs more attention and should be in a different unit. Some of the Ades are very protective of her but don't do much to actually help her. I've requested to be moved to a different unit which hasn't happened. They try to make me feel like it's my fault when they should be taking care of both residents, both of us.

My sister has been in this facility for 5 years and has received the very best care she has ever had since being struck down by her MS. The staff is wonderful, caring and compassionate. She has recently been put on Hospice care. I couldn't ask for better for her. I see her often, she is always well cared for, as am I when visiting. The staff assures that I have a place to sit and am comfortable when I'm with her. I can't say enough about Rochester Cty Rehab &Nursing they are excellent.

Literally the most inconsiderate, discriminating facility I have ever known! These people waisted two months of our time as my sister and I are trying to find permanent placement for my dad WHO HAS DEMENTIA and this facility acts like they are going to take him and then wants his medical chart from all the way back to 2000 and my dad previously suffered with schizophrenia and was managed by medicine back then. He hasn't had any signs of suffering from that in over 15 years and this facility said they couldn't take him because of his past psych history. As I work in the medical field, this is so unprofessional. How can you deny someone who needs 24/7 care. This place sucks and I will never recommend anyone here. You people love to discriminate against mental health, and not to mention half of the building is shut down since 2020 lmao over 5 years ago cause they can't staff properly, so I could honestly say it's a blessing in itself. I rather my love one taken care of properly, than to have my dad's insurance pay the facility like they fully staffed when they are not. Good Luck!

Oh, I love it here. Everybody is so nice and helpful. Everyone guest nurses all the staff. They are wonderful. Food is good. I mean I have my issue sometimes because I’m fussy sometimes this certain things I like and certain things I don’t. The whole thing is absolutely wonderful. I take pictures of all the food that I have and the list of things to do during the day and I show them off to my friends. I do not take pictures of anybody here. Not Resident some of the staff maybe I did have pictures of the birds and the motorcycle that I couldn’t do anything about, but I tried very hard not to put anyone that shouldn’t be in those pictures. I tried and I called this home Elizabeth/Liz.

Both my parents have stayed in the Rehab center here, and one is currently in long term care on the nursing home side. Great therapy options, and the staff are all genuinely committed and caring about the residents in both environments. I can call any time to speak with someone who is directly caring for my parent, and my questions or concerns are always addressed. I'd give the team at RCRNC 6 stars if I could! The rehab floor has been recently re-done and is comparable to any private facility around. They have started a project around some hospice rooms too. The long term side looks older, but the care is still awesome. There are nice sitting rooms, a plant-filled atrium, and a nice outdoor area when the weather allows. If I could improve anything, it would be the food, which I'd rate as 2 stars (they use a contracted provider). I'm sure it's fine nutritionally but looks very unappetizing, and doesn't motivate my parent to want to eat. We look at it this way though - we won't find a more caring team somewhere else, and we can always bring in home cooked / takeout meals or treats as needed. The care team knows my parent's preferences and will happily remember and provide anything special we bring. Overall, we're extremely happy with the care my family has received at RCRNC, and I would recommend it to anyone.
