Amy comes to the Henry Nutrition Site once a month to sponsor Bingo. Everyone that comes leaves with not only a prize, but a smile. Amy is nice that she spreads cheer wherever she goes - even when she delivers meals to the home delivered clients.

Our seniors at MSW in Henry happily look forward to our Bingo days at their lunch hour! Amy Thompson from Evergreen Senior Living brings some excitement to the Henry Nutrition room when she host the Bingo game! She is so friendly! Always has a smile and puts smiles on our faces! We love Amy and look forward to seeing her.

I currently live out of state, so ensuring my dad has the best quality of care that he deserves is a must. I hope this helps anyone looking into Evergreen for their loved ones as well as Corporate to make necessary changes/improvements. S T A F F - The Administrative Staff - Amy, Tina, and Emilee genuinely care, take the time to interact and talk with my dad. Speaking with these ladies and meeting them personally has only verified everything my dad has told me. These wonderful women occasionally check in on him, take selfies with him, and visit with him and his sweet pug Katie, weekly. - The Dining Staff - Positive: On my last visit, I met the wonderful young woman Anisa Amari who is a Cook. Not only did she engage in conversation with my dad each time we were in the dining facility, she made sure he had everything he needed as well as his friends at the table he sits at. The other two young gentleman serving food were equally kind and engaging with residents as they served them their meals. Negative: The Culinary Supervisor, Pam… Not only has my dad told me incidents and spoke negatively to me about Pam, multiple other residents and even a daughter whose father is at Evergreen talked to me about how negative Pam is during my most recent visit. Apparently this woman believes it is okay to raise her voice at residents and repeatedly be disrespectful… ** If Corporate takes anything from this review, it should be this: Pam is not a good reflection of your establishment. Poor staff and poor food can destroy your business. ** F O O D After seeing many meals that crossed my dad’s plate.. the food is in dire NEED for improvement. For starters, meat that cannot be cut, by even someone’s 27 year old daughter, is not meat that can be easily eaten for our elderly loved ones. That’s just plain gross and not okay. Eggs that are not real eggs… y’all are taking care of residents who are retired farmers and people who built the areas that surround your establishment. At minimum, you can outsource some local REAL eggs from our local farmers to feed residents. C A R E Q U A L I T Y Care quality will range from resident to resident based upon their personal needs and package selected. Keep in mind for my review, my dad is at the entry level for a resident in the assisted living environment. Meaning: He is still walking, driving himself, taking care of himself, dressing himself, etc.. So quality of care as for kindness, compassion, and human to human interaction and treatment is pretty great quality (except for the Culinary Supervisor, Pam) currently. C L E A N L I N E S S The facility is overall pretty clean, everything I list below are things that can easily be fixed and need to be consistently paid attention to. There are several stains in the carpet throughout the facility. I know this is inevitable in an assisted living facility, but these stains have been here since my last visit in September… This is an easy fix that needs to be fixed. The appearance of your facility says a lot. While the dining facility tables were wiped down and clean (I literally watched the staff do this), the rest of the tables scattered throughout had drink stains or crumbs on the floor surrounding them. Again, an easy fix that needs to be done. Right in the main entrance, on the other side of the fireplace, there is a light fixture missing from the ceiling… the wire is just hanging from the ceiling.. Not a pretty look… and again, a relatively easy fix. The detergent and softener dispensers within the washers in each laundry room have a build up within them that needs to be cleaned perhaps weekly if not already being done. Since I only was visiting for a week, I couldn’t monitor if this was a consistent problem. Just something to be looked at and taken care of as needed. The trash cans, while I was there the staff did a great job, but my dad has told me in the past that trash cans have been full or overflowing for days.. while this wasn’t the case while I was visiting, this should continue to be watched and taken care of as needed.

When he 1st moved there, things were a lot better than they are now. Since then things have definitely gone down hill. They are short staffed, food is horrible, we don’t get contacted about his care. Just 2 nights ago, he didn’t even get his evening meal. We filled out a survey and listed all of our concerns. We asked to be contacted and no one contacted us. It’s like they didn’t want to deal with it. At this point I would not recommend this facility. His room is very nice, which is the only positive thing I can say about it. If things do not improve, we will be looking for another place bc this facility is not meeting our expectations.

It was good. We got a very complete tour of this facility. Evergreen was clean. spacious, with plenty of sunlight pouring in from the many windows in the common areas. The residents there were smiling and looked content and happy.
