We were scheduled for a visit to see the place and drove 1.5 hours only to be stood up by Sam, who i scheduled with. At first glance, the building is in need of repair and the weeds were taking over. When we walked in, the inside was also in need of some tlc. The one lady who was working showed us around and took us into a room. This room was filthy. I opened the curtains only to find the window sill full of dead bugs. The lady noted that no one has been in the room for awhile and that they neglect it because it's vacant. We then went to another room which was down a ramp. This one was occupied recently, but was also filthy. The shower had visible mold in it. I asked how much this would cost per month and was told $100 a day or $3000 a month. They didn't even have a nurse on staff, but I was told all employees know basic first aid. This place was a hard no and I can't believe the State allows them to continue to operate.

We highly recommend Comfort Care for its quiet, peaceful small home-like environment! My older brother, who is 72 and suffers from a number of medical issues that require administering and monitoring a complex medication schedule, has been a resident at Comfort Care since July of 2014. Comfort Care has been a godsend for him, and in some ways even more so for me as his primary relative responsible for his safety and well-being. I can rest easy and sleep well at night knowing that he is safe, comfortable and well cared for there. For a variety of reasons, my brother was never able to live self-sufficiently on his own. His entire life, he has been used to living in a small home environment being looked after by our mother until her passing, and then by his aunt. Finding Comfort Care, with its very comfortable, small-home atmosphere, was a miracle when family circumstances forced us to change his living situation. Given the way he had lived all his life, we knew he would not adjust well to a large, more resort-like assisted living facility with lots of people and activity and hustle and bustle. The more peaceful and quiet and home-like environment at Comfort Care has been perfectly suited to his needs and the type of living arrangement he has always been most comfortable with. We would highly recommend Comfort Care to anyone who is faced with that stressful emergency where a loved one now needs just a little bit more care and supervision, but desires to remain in a more quiet and peaceful small home-like environment. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the residents, and all I can say about them and Sam, who manages the facility, is that their actions reflect their wonderful attitude, not just about my brother, but about all their residents, and more importantly, reflect their values. How do I know that, you might ask? Recently, in a discussion I had with Sam, he told me: “Nonsense! Your brother is part of our family here. This is his home!” It still brings a tear to my eye knowing the kindness and compassion that we have found at Comfort Care. In today's day and age, isn't that really the most important measure of where you would like your loved one to be cared for?

My mother has lived here for over 2 years and she is very happy here. She enjoys the homemade meals and the residential setting. My family has peace of mind knowing that she is being cared for and that she is safe. The director and staff are very friendly nice people and make us feel at home when we visit her.

My mother was there for over a year until she had heart problems and had to go too a skilled nursing home . While she was there we were very happy with the care she received. The staff took great care of her and treated her with respect . We would visit her and the staff treated us like one off the family and still do if we stop in to see someone. The manger Sam is a very good and caring man and would do anything to help the residents that stay there.

My brother, Jim, who has limited income and health issues has lived here for 1-1/2 years and is doing fantastic. I have visited with him (I live out of town) and he is so happy there. The staff are great, with wonderful personalities. They take personal interest in all of their residents. He does complain about the food, but he is a burger and fry kind of guy!! Our family has peace knowing how well he is taken care of and loved/
