To be expected. Understaffed and management is unable to inform co workers about the circumstances because they dont know what their right and left hands are both doing.

My father spent a month at Foltsbrook Rehab Center and received excellent care. The therapy team was especially exceptional. We are so grateful for the care that the entire staff provided.

DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY! My father was there for sub acute rehabilitation for a stroke. The place was filthy. My father was in a room where blood stains and food spills were still on areas of the wall and floor prior to moving him in. His sheets were never cleaned. Pillow cases were never on his pillows. We spent several hours one day at the facility with him. The only staff member to check on him was food service while delivering his meal. As a stroke patient and needing a better diet, the meals provided consisted of hot dogs and grilled cheese almost daily. They lost all of his clothing that was handed over to be labeled. After purchasing more clothing, repeatedly telling the staff that family would do the laundry moving forward and a large sign on his laundry stating that we would do his laundry, it was taken and never to be seen again. The staff were less than professional. They were unkind and dishearteningly rude to the elderly patients we would see when visiting. Front desk services were always on their cellphone, never bothering to look up at who was entering. My father was told he could not go outside for fresh air, unless a staff member took him. A staff member never took him outside the entire time he was there. We took my father to his benefit dinner. We looked for an hour for a staff member to let them know he would be leaving the facility and we would return. We could not find one so we left. No one noticed he was gone until 9pm when they went to give him his medication. My father had enough of the place and packed his belongings and waited next to the door each day. No one noticed that his belongings were packed. We removed him late at night when he was found with several bed sores and having noticed that he was never bathed the entire time he stayed there. After removing him from the facility, we were told from his PT, speech and OT services that he never received ANY services while at Foltsbrook. He was there for subacute treatment to receive these services. A short time later, we found that Foltsbrook was at risk of shutting down due to many violations. There are other very quality care options available. This is NOT one of them.

My special needs brother is currently in the rehab unit. He received amazing care from the moment he arrived. Staff is extremely attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely caring. I am a nurse going on 30 years, and have seen a lot. I am very impressed, and feel at ease knowing my brother is being cared for with such kindness, and compassion. Thank you to all the staff!
