Gardens Assisted Living

The Gardens was the perfect place for Mom when she decided she was no longer able to safely stay in her own home. The staff supported our family through the emotional transition -from registration, the move, Hospice contacts, and financial details. Once settled in, Mom received great care at all levels and we were timely notified of any concerns noticed by staff. An additional social benefit came from being around personable residents. Our family is grateful Mom was at The Gardens.

My mom Esther lived at the Gardens for almost 3 years. Tara and her staff are amazing people. The level of care and compassion my mom received was top notch. I would highly recommend anyone in need of assisted living try the Gardens. It takes a special kind of person to do what they do and the Gardens in Jefferson certainly has them!

I am the POA for our friend Bill that lives at The Gardens. Bill realized in March, 2025 that he needed to make a move to an assisted living facility. Bill wanted to remain in Greene County. We made an appointment to tour The Gardens in May. Bill knew at the end of May he had to move. We contacted Tara at The Gardens and she let us know they had a 2 bdrm available July 1. Tara was very helpful in getting is in by July. We had paperwork we had to complete, which were not difficult at all. We moved Bill in July 14, 2025. His apartment home was super clean, we had to do nothing. Bill has had such a wonderful experience! He goes to the dining room for his 3 meals/day. He loves the meal service, great food, hot. Some days he doesn't want to eat and there is no pressure to go. He has been cared for daily. They check on him, help shower him, do his laundry, clean his room and we've had no complaints. It's quiet, clean, friendly and secure! We could not be more pleased with The Gardens. A great place for your family member who needs to be assisted in daily activities.

Rating 1 star due to an incredibly rude administrator Tara. I truly don’t understand how someone so rude and unpleasant has a position such as this one. I was appalled at my experience with her as she came out cold and nasty and made me feel terrible after speaking to her. I hope that she changes that terrible attitude because life is too beautiful to be so angry. Her attitude is a reflection of her job, therefore is a reflection of this place.

Knowledgeable staff, clean homey feel. Administrator is from the area and is a nurse so has a great understanding of what it takes to provide kind compassionate care for the residents of Jefferson. Many activities for the tenants to enjoy. I was impressed!
