Generations at Riverview Senior Living

My mom has been in the facility since Nov 2020. Before the new Executive Director started we were considering moving her because of care issues. The new Director Bobby has turned the place around. More staff, always there when you have needs or questions. He and the Marketing Director Kimberly are awesome. The caregivers, CNA's, LPN and RN are all very patient & compassionate people. Excellent facility with a staff who truly cares about their patients. Social Services department is very helpful when looking for services for loved ones. Nurses are very experienced and the CNA's do a wonderful job at taking care of the patients. Therapy department is fantastic.

With the exception of the therapy area which is a 5 star area, the skilled care facility is no better than one star. There are some great people in the area but not enough to make up for those that could care less for your loved one. Before considering taking someone there talk to a family member of a patient and ask them how long they have to wait for assistance to respond to a call light. I can tell you that you better not be in a hurry. Meal times are a joke of you need assistance. Aids are taken off the floor and assigned to the dining room. This leaves all patients that are not able to go to the dining room almost without assistance. Beware of the "Skilled Care" side of this facility. It is a shame that the skilled care unit is not as great as the therapy group.
