GOLDEN ROSE PERSONAL CARE HOME

Golden Rose is a locally owned Assisted Living facility. Most of the staff has worked there many years. They treated my father with kindness, compassion, and respect. His INDIVIDUAL needs were met. They were interested in what he liked and wanted. The atmosphere was of one big family. I moved him there from another facility, around the corner, that wanted me to hire a full time sitter because they couldn't watch him and keep him safe. Golden Rose was able to meet all his needs without me hiring a sitter. Esther, the owner, is an RN. She regularly interacts with the residents and has the knowledge needed to know when a medication adjustment is needed. As my father neared the end of his life, they were sensitive and respectful. I felt that the workers were grieving with us. While having my father in an Assisted Living facility and visiting everyday, sometimes more than once, I believe the most important thing to look for in care is the attitude, capability, and compassion of the staff that actually works with the residents. The furnishings, "chef-inspired food," entertainment programs, professionalism of the management, etc. are not near as important as the people who are feeding, changing diapers, dressing, and interacting with the residents. I was impressed with all of the staff at Golden Rose.

Golden Rose was a blessing to our family when we needed to find a cost-effective place for my dad with dementia to live. Diana was great in getting him setup and comfortable and always keeping us updated of his status. Unfortunately he passed away recently, but in his final days the staff cared for him and loved on him as if he were their own family all the way to the end. I highly recommend this place.

My sister and I were blessed to find Golden Rose for our dad! He had dementia and we didn’t know where to begin to find a place that we would feel comfortable with them taking care of him. We spoke with Esther (the owner) over the phone, scheduled a tour and immediately knew right away this would be the place for him. They made my dad feel special and like family from the very start. Esther and her staff are very knowledgeable about caring for seniors with all aging elements. As a nurse myself, I was very impressed by the care he was given. Diana (the manager) was incredible at keeping my sister and I updated with our dad’s care. I would highly recommend Golden Rose for your family members especially if you cannot visit daily/weekly.

We were fortunate to find Golden Rose when we did. My dad lived there for two years after he was not able to care for himself anymore. I cannot say enough about the owners and staff. They treat everyone with love, dignity and care. It is like a family unit. I am comforted to know that Dad was happy. He would always tell me how everyone treated him well. The staff at Golden Rose feel like family to me. I will miss my dad but have comfort in knowing he was cared for and loved.

Our Dad lived at Golden Rose the past two years once he could no longer live alone. It was his home and he absolutely loved living there. What makes Golden Rose truly special is the staff. They all cared for and loved my Dad like he was their Dad - and we could rest easy knowing that he was receiving the highest level of care and personal attention. The owners and staff work hard to create a family environment and to keep all the residents happy and healthy. To share a few examples of how the staff goes above and beyond, they cook a big Thanksgiving meal (like you'd have at your own home!) every year, celebrate individual resident's birthdays, and celebrate special holidays throughout the year. For anyone looking for a home for their loved one - I would highly recommend Golden Rose. They were true partners with me and my family as we worked to provide the best care for my Dad. Their location is right in the heart of East Cobb.
