Grand Haven

Amazing community. I'm so impressed with how caring staff are. There is always something fun going on (games, music, bingo, presentations). I highly recommend Grand Haven!

Such a special place and environment! My great grandma was here for a few years before she passed and she was so happy. Many events to keep residents involved and active! Staff is warm and welcoming.

I’ve been researching retirement communities for my loved one, and this place truly stands out! The facilities are well-maintained, and designed with comfort in mind. I’ve heard great things about the compassionate staff and the variety of activities offered, which help residents stay active and engaged. The community is known for fostering a warm, welcoming environment, and I’m impressed with how they prioritize both the well-being and happiness of their residents. I’m looking forward to visiting soon and seeing everything firsthand!

Grand Haven is a beautiful place full of so many loving residents! The staff care so deeply about the residents and will do what it takes to make sure they are well taken care of. The 3 nurses they have are phenomenal to work with and they will truly drop everything to make sure their residents get the care they need. I truly love Grand Haven and all the smiling faces I see on the daily!!

Putting a parent or relative in a facility is one of the biggest decisions I’ve had to make. My mother is 91 and had a massive stroke two years ago. While trying to decide on what would be the best place for her to be I checked into numerous facilities with no knowledge oh what was ahead of us. I was told my mother would never walk to talk again from the surgeon at the University Hospitals in Iowa City. When she was able to be moved I moved her to a facility that helped her to a limited amount of walking and even talking all of which she has done while at Grand Haven After awhile there I had no choice but to get her into an extensive rehab program to see what they could do for her. She made enough improvement that I as able to move her to Moments at Grand Haven. I have never seen my mom or any other resident be mistreated. That would literally be bizarre to even say that. She was not showing a lot of emotion at first but then things started to take a turn around. The staff was amazing and she started to improve over a period of time. Each and every day was became happier and I attributed that to the attention that she was receiving from the staff as myself I work full time and couldn’t be there as much as I wanted to be and my two siblings lived a distance also. My mother now is speaking words and walks with a walker to her meals and go to the wonderful activities and things they offer their residents. Today my mom has a reason to keep working hard and is very happy. I owe all this to every one of the staff that had treated her with dignity and respect. The minute you walk into the building you know by the looks on the residents faces they live where they are. Grand Haven is the place you would love to have a loved one cared for.
