Grand View Alzheimer's SCC

My husband has been at Grandview for 20 months now. The facility provides a setting that feels homelike with a culture of caring and family like relationships with residents and staff. The facility is clean, the food varied, the schedule predictable with daily activities, meals, snacks snd quiet time with lots of. Big windows and natural light. It feels more firm-like than nursing home. . The caregiving staff truly cares for residents making them comfortable emotionally and physically. Communication about care is consistent and helpful. Our family feels supported in this decision for our loved one.

When looking for a place for my wife, Kaitlin took me on a tour of Grand View. I was very impressed with the friendly atmosphere, the cleanliness of the facility and the caring attitude of the staff. Together with Julie, Michelle and Kaitlin, they keep the front desk running smoothly. The nurses, from Lynette, Colin, Michelle, Diane, to Shana, are always very helpful, friendly and professional. Virgil does an excellent job of making sure his staff keeps the facility clean, repaired when needed and the clothing of the residents clean and presentable. I eat lunch and dinner in the dining room with my wife. Craig makes sure the food is tasty and nutritious. Snacks are also available between meals. The activities at Grand View from bingo, music, games, parties and outside entertainment coming in, helps to keep the residents engaged. Also, with no official visiting hours, visitors are able to stay for a longer visit if needed. I would highly recommend Grand View for your love one’s needs. My sister and I knew earlier in the year that Mom needed better care than we were able to give her and finally decided to investigate assisted living options where memory care was a requirement. We were both surprised, and relieved, to find that within hours of the search many of our concerns were put to rest and our anxiety about the decision had faded. Thanks to Kaitlin and the tour she provided for us, we now knew a better life for Mom was in her future. In less than a week from this first introduction, we were moving Mom into Grand View, and the quality of her life has been better ever since. Mom now has the medical support she needs, the meals she needs, the prescription management she needs, and perhaps most importantly the social interaction she so desperately wanted. The Grand View team’s communication with my sister and I have been excellent. As we have learned, a significant percentage of the Grand View team has remained intact for many years, and it shows. From Michelle S in the business office to Virgil in maintenance every request we have of them is responded to right away. I would like to especially call out Lynette, Colin, Michelle D, and the rest of the nursing team. There is no doubt that they really care for our mother. Besides providing medical care, they go out of their way to ensure Mom is dressed well each day and feeling good about herself. This team brings their A-game every day. If you are looking for assisted living with a focus on memory care for your loved one, you need to make sure a visit to Grand View is at the top of your list. The 24/7 nursing staff, outstanding food prepared by Chef Craig, the tenured team and personal touch they provide has provided for a wonderful experience for Mom and my sister and me. Kaitlin and the entire Grand View team have been incredible especially during a difficult transition time. The care and kindness are unmatched. The facility is clean, the food is exceptional, the activities are creative and fun. We feel confident our loved one is safe and receiving incredible care. We visited several places before deciding on Grand View. Kaitlin took us on a tour and we were very impressed with Grand View, from the cleanliness, the staff, the fun activities, the wide variety of foods on menu, and the large rooms. Everything was great. We moved our mom in and she has been very happy. We visit daily and everyone is so nice and accommodating. The staff is the BEST, Julie, Michelle, Kaitlin, Colin, Dawn, Maddie, Kayla, (so many many more) and very very helpful in maneuvering through this difficult time. We couldn't be happier with our decision on Grand View for our mom.
