GREENRIDGE PLACE

I have arrived to find my loved still in bed at 10:15 in the morning, in a wet depends, laying on a mattress pad only. No sheets or blankets on her bed. Her glasses went missing. Her clothing and jewelry is missing. Her arms and legs are covered in cuts and bruises. I’m only able to get there once a week and my one day a week sampling of conditions has been less than reassuring. Once I arrived to take her to a doctor’s appointment at 12:45 and the whole community was still waiting to be served lunch.

We are so glad that we discovered Greenridge Place while searching for good memory care for my aunt and uncle. Both of their children had already passed due to complications with Dementia. When I realized what the problems were we naively they could live with us. However, our big and only spare bedroom was in the basement. We began the search for a good, uplifting, caring environment. Most were old and dark. We wanted good nutritious food, also difficult to find. The real kicker was that they did not have funds to cover that kind of care and we were not in a position to cover them either. When we realized that Greenridge Place was accepting InnovAge we found their new home. The rooms are large and well lit. The hallways are wide bright and tastefully decorated. The ratio of staff to resident was great. The food was good and the offerings rotate regularly. All of the staff, including senior staff, know all of the residents, their likes, dislikes, and issues. We are confident that they are receiving the very best of care.

My mother has been at Greenridge for about 2 years. The staff is very kind and I feel like they are doing a good job in caring for my mom, however, the previous director left and the new director hasn’t responded at all to email or voicemail. I live very far away and need to be able to check in on my mom. I did meet with the new director, but I haven’t been able to have any contact since mid-January. I hope the owners see this post and provide support to the new director so she is able to follow up with concerns from the families.

My wife entered GreenRidge Place in Sept of 2021. We chose it because it was near our home. It was referred to us by the Home Care Agency we were using. We have been very happy with the care provided by Janel and staff. We came in right when COVID was winding down and staffing had to be stabilized but that was worked out. The facility is small enough so it’s easy to get to know residents, their families, caregivers and Leadership Team. They have become an important part of our support system.

We have nothing but good things to say about Janelle and Green Ridge Memory Care. They offer loving, attentive care and the staff always goes above and beyond to take the best care of ALL of their residents. Our loved one constantly comments on the cleanliness of his “home” and the great food and care. They go above and beyond to answer questions, facilitate phone visits with our dad when it’s not possible for us to visit, and they let him “help” with chores every time he asks to assist. They take the residents on scenic drives, visits to local attractions, etc. The front desk staff is also amazing. We find great peace knowing he is in such loving and caring hands. Highly recommend!
