We needed a safe place for our mother to stay for a short time. Dan, one of the owners of Halina's, was flexible with our timeframe and sympathetic regarding our situation. While at Halina's, my mother received excellent care from Sandra and Maria, the two caretakers on staff, as well as nursing care as needed. I would highly recommend Halina's if you are looking for short or long term care of a loved one.

My mother had been at Halina’s Home Care for several months and she was so well taken care of and happy there. Initially she resisted the idea of leaving her home and didn’t believe that anywhere could be as comfortable and homey as her own home The caretakers were so genuinely kind and caring towards her and all of our family and friends who visit. My Mom’s personal needs were met and she had assistance with dressing,bathing, hair care and really anything that my mom used to be able to do and it was handled a compassionate and dignified way. The quality of the food was unbelievable, homemade, fresh and delicious. I have personally had samples of their meals and it’s wonderful. The home is so clean and yet not institutional like. It truly is a cozy home and the best place I could have imagined for my Mom.

Was very fortunate to find Halina's Home for the last 4 months of my husband's life. He had battled Lewy Body Dementia for 18yrs. His health had stayed stable until this April, when he stopped walking and continued a steady decline. I wish I had moved him sooner. He was always clean and loved the meals. I was fortunate to have his caregivers to be very attentive. When you already feel concerned about a loved one's condition, worrying about their care is stressful. His care partners as well as the owner took away much of the stress. No place is home but Halina's comes close. The fact that they have no more than 6 residents at one time is beneficial. Unlike over populated, not enough staff, at corporate nursing facilities.

My husband has recently been hospitalized twice with congestive heart failure and most recently with a broken hip. The doctors and staff recommended that he have 24 hour care after he was in rehab. The nursing homes were understaffed and depressing. My family researched and found Halina’s Home Care online. This place is similar to living in a home. The caretakers are experienced, kind, and caring. He gets home cooked meals, help with dressing, bathing and personal needs. There is camaraderie with the residents. I prepare his medications in a weekly pill box and they make sure he takes them each day. My stress level has been greatly reduced, knowing he is getting the attention and care that he needs in a wonderful environment. So blessed to have discovered this alternative to a nursing home.

My Mom came to Halina’s after a very traumatic stay at an area nursing home. The care and attention that my mom has been getting at Halina’s is excellent. Everyone has gone above and beyond to help her be comfortable and feel safe. It’s been a rough road for my mom but now she is in the best possible place for her care. I can’t say thank you enough to all the people that are involved in her daily care. It has given our family peace of mind knowing that mom is in good hands here. Thanks to Dan and the staff for all you do! Dina
