My Mom is here and I am amazed at the care and responsiveness of the staff. Before my Dad passed, his ALU was Atria. That place was far more expensive but always chronically understaffed and staff under paid. I don’t know how Hampton does it. The food is great. The rooms clean and large. But the staff goes out of their way when your parent needs extra assistance. They are always pleasant to deal with. I can’t rate or thank this facility enough.

Mom came to this facility because they accept the long-term care waiver. The aides and the dining staff were exceptional during her stay. As well as the current director, Angela. A few negatives: There did seem to be a continuous problem of bugs in the room even though they sprayed regularly. The front desk reception was a high turn over. Entertainment for residents were kind of low scale. I would still use the facility due to the acceptance of the long term care waiver and visit regularly.

My brother moved into this facility September 2, 2024. After searching for AL facilities, I was pleased to find this one which my brother found to be home-like in nature. Wendy, the director at that time, was very helpful. She made us feel comfortable and helped a great deal in finding the perfect apartment for him.We signed the contract, and paid the $5000 Community fee. Within a short time, he adapted to his new surroundings and made several acquaintances. My brother adored the staff, and they returned that affection. In November, Angela, LPN, with the title of community director, took over Wendy’s position. On December 4th, I received a call from Angela with the ultimatum to move my brother from their facility or she would have him placed in their memory care unit which he definitely did not need. Angela “felt he was a wanderer” with no evidence of that except he he liked to sit on their front porch and walk in the parking lot, like so many other residents at that facility and which I encouraged for activity. I was forced to make arrangements within two days to move him. This was very stressful to the family and devastating to my brother as he felt he had done something wrong. My brother felt abandoned, and I felt he was robbed. I have reached out to the CEO in hopes of recovering his much needed and unused non-refundable community fee, without any response. Beware.

My father-in-law has been a resident for over a year. Our experience has been wonderful. The management has been very accommodating to our needs. The staff is always very pleasant and patient. Most importantly, we are immediately notified of any items regarding dad’s health, supplies, and medications. The Hampton Manor staff welcomes our frequent visits, and always stops to speak with us. Dad has lots of opportunities to participate in resident activities. We highly recommend Hampton Manor at Deerwood.

My mother has been a resident since 2017, she moved to one of the apartments in the new section, and I was happy to find a place that we could fit so many of her cherished belongs into to make her feel at home. It was a hard decision to make, and the staff made the transition as smooth as possible. I'm comforted knowing that my mother is well cared for, and safe under their care. We have managed to iron out a few communication wrinkles along the way, as we all adjust to this. I did tour all the other facilities in the area, and this was the best fit for my mom. I have the option to eat holiday meals there, and the food is good. I've been able to attend some of the family functions also. I highly recommend Hampton Manor for anyone that needs that next level of care for their family members.
