Harbor Chase of Plainfield

Staff is very attentive and treated my grandma with respect and kindness. Like she was their family member. Hands down the best experience we have had!

I highly recommend Harbor Chase of Plainfield! My Mom was at the facility from July to October 2022. She received excellent care , she was on the Memory Care Unit. All the staff are compassionate, professional, very caring. They are all Angels from Heaven! The facility is lovely, They have activities and parties all the time, the food is delicious. My family enjoyed the Guest Dining Room several times on a Sunday, with our family, which made the Sunday's special, as we would gather on Sundays at our family house for our special Sunday Dinners at home. Harbor Chase was our answer to prayer

We had to make a hard decision to put my grandma in a nursing home. She has been in the nursing home for just a couple of days and we went to visit her over the weekend and was very disappointed at the way we were treated. We had brought my grandma breakfast and when we arrived there she was already eating in the dining area. We then sat down in the dining area to eat with her and we were sitting there for over 45 minutes before the reception DENISE came up to us and started yelling at us that we weren't supposed to be in the dining area with her. I think that was very rude on how she talked to us and was yelling in front of all the staff and patients. I am a little bit worried about if she talks to us like that does she do anything to the patients like yell at them. We told her when we were leaving the place that she could have addressed the situation a little bit better but she just kept on yelling when we were leaving that she wasn't being rude. We told her that we wanted her boss number and she seemed like she just didn't care about anything. So I would not recommend this place to anyone because the reception was very rude and the nurses were not friendly at all.

All-in-all I was very pleased at the care given to my mother. She made many, many friends. She loved the activities that were offered. Every day of the week the day was filled with many activities to keep the residents busy and able to interact and make friends which is extremely important part of life. My mom was there only 5 months and up to the day of her passing she participated in all activities. I wished she would have been able to enjoy more time there. I rate HarborChase of Plainfield a B+. I would rate an A+ if they had more staff to ease the burden of those that are on staff. My understanding is the food is o.k. I never ate it so I can't give that a rating.

Our family made the difficult decision to move our Dad to HarborChase of Plainfield in the beginning of the pandemic because he needed more care. What we didn't know is how well he would be taken care of. From the executive director, to the nurses and everyone else who cared for my Dad and provided support, they did a wonderful job. These heroes are compassionate people who genuinely care. Knowing he was well taken care of, especially with Covid, put our family at ease. When my Dad eventually passed away, we were treated with dignity and respect by everyone. I highly recommend HarborChase of Plainfield for your loved one.
