HARMONY AT WEST SHORE

Helping my mother transition from living at home to Harmony for Independent living was made so much easier with help from Nicole. Quick to respond, and always available, she kindly and professionally showed us what the community has to offer. Looking forward to getting mom moved in and settled in a community that appears to have exactly what she needs.

My father is a resident in the memory care wing at Harmony and we are very pleased. Transitioning a loved one to a personal care facility is an emotionally taxing event, and Andrew and Mel were and continue to be very compassionate and empathetic throughout the entire process. The staff are attentive and professional, both with my father and myself. I feel that I can rest easy knowing my father is comfortable in their care!

Just had a tour of Harmony with Andrew today. This facility is beautiful!!! The staff is wonderful, the rooms are spacious, and there are plenty of activities for your loved one whether you are looking for memory care or personal living. The cost is very reasonable as well. I highly recommend speaking to Harmony if you are looking for a care facility for someone you love or if you are interested in independent living for yourself.

Harmony of Westshore Senior Living looked nice at first, but the overall experience for my grandmother was very disappointing. The food quality was consistently poor, and it became a regular concern for us. The only time I felt comfortable was when Alethia was working. From what I observed, she was attentive, caring, and responsive to the needs of my grandmother and others on the 4th floor. Unfortunately, she is no longer there, which has made our concerns even greater. My grandma depends on her. When Alethia wasn’t on shift, my grandmother often struggled to get help when she needed to use the bathroom, showers, late to lunch, etc. There were times she ended up falling because no one came to assist her after she pressed the call light. This was extremely upsetting and made me feel like the level of care depended entirely on who happened to be working. Based on my personal experience, the management , especially nursing leadership did not address our concerns in a helpful or professional way, which only added to the frustration. We would call Tiffanie and she would never answer the phone. We leave message and no reply. I truly hope the facility takes steps to provide more consistent care for residents, because families depend on it.

I spent 2 months researching retirement communities for a family member. I talked with and toured several communities in our area. This was a daunting task. There are several communities in our area and each had their own good qualities. We eventually chose Harmony not only because it checked all the boxes but it felt very much like home. The apartments and building are absolutely gorgeous! Nicole was an absolute delight to work with!! She was very patient and allowed us to tour several times prior to making the decision. We never felt like an annoyance and she was ALWAYS positive and pleasant no matter how many questions we asked! Choosing a place for a family member can be a difficult decision but Nicole made it very easy and always made us feel welcome! I HIGHLY recommend putting Harmony on the list of places to look into or family.
