I was so happy with the way the residents have so much to do like go to the library. And are so pleasant there.

My husband and I have lived here for almost 6 years now and it has been the best move we have ever made. It is such a friendly and welcoming community of not only residents but staff. We have so many activities to take part in or not as the spirit moves us. I love singing in the Chorus and joining friends for walks in the woods. We have several levels of hikes for all levels of ability and so many trails near by with beautiful and interesting views. There is always some special activity that has been planned by staff or another resident such as the upcoming Valentine party, the summer ice cream social or the Field Day. There just is not enough time in the day do all the things that are offered. It is also nice just to sit and enjoy the views and gardens here on campus and talk with neighbors and friends that pass by. It is just so nice to know that I don't have to worry about taking care of a house or cook a meal if I am tired or not feeling well and to know that if I need help with anything it is a phone call away.❤️ Love abounds here.

My wife and I have lived here for the last 16 years and couldn't have been happier. The staff have been exceptional, the atmosphere is that of a small town, unpretentious without the need to dress up for meals if you don't care to. There are a wide range of activities planned by the programs staff and by residents, opportunities abound for volunteering for community activities from helping in the country store, in the libraries (2, one on each campus), taking part in plays and theater productions, a Hiking and Biking club and day trips and several overnight trips as well. Even while we were going through Covid lockdown the staff provided special (safe) events and made sure that residents had the opportunity to receive all needed shots on site. Costs are reasonable, people are friendly and we couldn't have picked a better place to live. It is not a country club but a small New England town where people know each other in a quiet relaxed atmosphere.

My husband and I moved to HHH in Oct. 2003. He was concerned that there wouldn't be much to do here. Within a short time he found himself on several committees plus scooping ice cream at Scoops! It seems that a resident can choose whether to be busy or to relax at home. It was wonderful for him to be busy. During the Pandemic I found that HHH took good care of its residents bringing our mail twice a week, surprising us with treats, We felt quite pampered with good things happening to keep our spirits alive. Several years ago I wanted to try something new to bring residents together to become acquainted. The Programs Department was very supportive of my initiative. I was very grateful to them!

A family member of mine went here after a difficult hip surgery to convalesce. The rooms in the nursing side of the home are small two bed rooms like what you would find in a smaller, older hospital. They provided decent nursing care, but also made a few non-critical mistakes. Make extra sure your prescriptions are at the facility before you arrive, but the nurses did take good care of all patients, event one who was suffering dementia with little visitation from her adult children. The food was good, but must be ordered in advance. The assisted living side is very good with attentive staff, the residents are happy, the place is set up as a small suburban community of style with the main facility having a small town layout with restaurants, stores, cafe, library, etc. Very nice. You can have either a apartment style of living space or your own small house.
