Hawthorne Inn of Shelbyville

My father-in-law has had exceptional care for the last year at Hawthorn Inn, and Shelbyville manor. The staff are not only courteous, kind, and go above and beyond, but are also truly authentic. We live quite far away, and we have comfort in knowing that he is being so well cared for by Lisa and her team. Lisa has been exceptional, and provided extremely good care and advice in the last years of my father-in-law’s life. Her background as a hospice nurse provides her with invaluable experience to enhance the resident’s lives. The activities truly engage the residents and I often see staff Interacting with residents that would otherwise have little to no social interaction. We truly appreciate the fantastic care that is rendered at Hawthorn Inn.

disorganized, minimal staff. medical reviews comes off as incompetent and naive. They have NEVER followed through with anything I have ever been told over the phone. Mattoon, Pana, Effingham offer a more responsible environment imo.
