HIDDEN MEADOWS ON THE RIDGE THE LAURELS

Very concerned with food being sent and prepared at Dementia unit. While visiting my Aunt I was taken back that the kitchen is not being used. Employees upset as well saying food comes over for each meal from other kitchen. Why? Is this the norm in Senior Care- it seemed like poor cafeteria service. Staff at least were polite and honest. Very confused and concerned family.

We searched many local retirement communities to find memory care for my mother. What initially impressed us with Hidden Meadows on the Ridge was the size of the facility for their residence. All other communities had a “wing” or one long hallway for their memory section. Hidden Meadows indoor facility is huge with four wings and two large common areas (one with birds 😊). Plenty of space for my mom to roam around as she loves to walk. Another nice feature is the “always available” outside gardens. If they want to go outside – they can. All the other facilities we visited had very restrictive schedules for any outdoor time (i.e. once a week for an hour or two) and no walking. Hidden Meadows on the Ridge has a walking path around the building. While this may not be important for everyone, my mom is an outside person who loves to walk. After the visit we decided this was the place for my mom and now after 6 weeks we know it was the right decision. While my mom did not want to move, she is happy. The staff is attentive and kind, the residents are well occupied, and the facility is clean. Every time we visit there is something going on. My mom comments on how nice the staff are (and other residents) and she loves the food. If you are looking for a memory care facility for a loved one in Bucks or Montgomery County – we highly recommend Hidden Meadows on the Ridge.

When it was time for our dad to move into an assisted living apartment, we began looking at places in the area. The first time we visited Hidden Meadows on the Ridge … it was love at first sight! It definitely checked off all the boxes and more. Our dad is 92, active and social. This place is the perfect fit for him. The staff is amazing… kind, professional, patient and friendly to all. They go over and beyond to create a comfortable environment (and with a smile)! The food is good, the place is very clean and they offer many fun daily activities and entertainment for the residents. We visit often and are thrilled at what we see. And the most important thing is - that our dad is very happy in his new home! We moved my mom back to PA from Florida after 30+ years. We had a lot of anxiety knowing that she needed 24/7 care that we couldn’t give her, plus having to move her out of the home she loved. I looked at several facilities, but as soon as I pulled up to Hidden Meadows, I thought I pulled up to a quaint Country Inn. It really does have that feeling, both inside and outside. My mom even tells her new Doctors that she loves living there. It’s the people that work there that make Hidden Meadows so special. They take excellent care of her. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Hidden Meadows. They really take an interest in her and let her have her dignity. They take an interest in you as a family member, too. When I visit my mom, I enjoy visiting with staff and other residents. They make you feel like part of their family. We, as a family, are very happy to have found Hidden Meadows and that my mom is happy. Visit them and find out for yourself. They will really put your mind at ease. I highly recommend them for a loved one.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Hidden Meadows on the Ridge. Our mom needed care beyond what we could provide for her at home. We visited a few different senior living places and we unanimously decided on Hidden Meadows On the Ridge. From the first moment we stepped in, it felt like "home". We were happy to see residents out and about and they were so friendly and ready to chat. They were involved in a stretch class that was being held. Once we got our mom moved in, we had daily interactions with the nursing staff, and the aides, as well as the director. Everyone from day one was incredibly friendly, accommodating and truly cared about our mom's well-being. Our mom had a disease which limited her communication skills and they remained patient in trying to figure out what she was trying to tell them. They even got to the point where many of them could tell what our mom was trying to relay by her facial expressions. Our mom was a resident there for 4 months. As her disease progressed, the staff at Hidden Meadows remained vigilant in caring for her and keeping her comfortable. They communicated with my sister and me frequently to keep us updated. While choosing a senior care community for a loved one is not easy, we were so thankful that we were led here. They were family oriented and made many accommodations to ensure that our mom was able to remain connected to her family and friends. I highly recommend Hidden Meadows to anyone in a position where you need extra support in the care of a loved one.
