The staff in Inspired Living (memory care) are the best! My 102 year old mother has been living there for almost 3 years. Every day I visit her she seems happy. She's always clean and dressed nicely with matching jewelry. There's a lot of activities every day to keep the residents occupied if they want to participate. The staff all seem to genuinely care about the residents.

My Mom lived at Holbrook of Decatur for the last 3 years of her long life. The last two years were in Inspired Living (memory care). The care and love shown to her while in their care was all I could ask for. Elder care is a calling and is challenging. Mom was so grateful for the care provided to her by any and all the staff. She was kind and cooperative and was shown the same in equal measure. I was visiting 2-3 times a week, so was pretty aware of how things were going. Everyone was very receptive to our requests and observations. My learning experience during all of this is that care for our aging loved ones is a team effort. The more involved anyone can be with knowledge of the care plan and execution, the better for your family and the staff. The team at Holbrook of Decatur cares greatly and works tirelessly to provide loving care.

We had to move our loved one within the community to a higher level of care. As they say success flows from the top down. The director of Inspired Living truly cares about her job, her staff and most importantly “her” residents. Her influence over the community ensures that the everyone that is part of the community lives up to her standards, which is to provide not only top notch level of care, but also to provide the residents their dignity. All staff outwardly strive to provide the best care and assistance to the residents. They will literally rush to assist and safety is the top priority. The commitment of the staff is exemplified by the fact that many of the staff have been there for years. Also, it is great to witness a staff whom interact with the residents in a loving manner. They fill the mornings with appropriate activities and leave no resident out. My mother had never taken advantage of the activities and community in previous living situations but now she is engaged in them. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with the staff in Inspired Living

Had a wonderful experience there today. This was my 1st time there. Everyone was super polite, helpful. From the employee I met in the underground garage who told me how to find the elevator to the folks at the front desk to the staff members on the memory care unit. The medication nurse answered my questions about the residents' meds. The director took time to research needed info on her computer. The atmosphere was joyful and the patients all seemed comfortable. No one was screaming or crying out as we sometimes encounter in some memory care units. No malodour. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was cheerful. Great 1st time experience. Thanks to all the staff who were so welcoming.

I couldn't be happier with the experience I've had at the Holbrook Decatur. My sister has lived there for over a year now. She moved into assisted living and has since transitioned to memory care. My experience with the staff has been positive from the beginning. The staff in the memory care unit is outstanding. They are always positive, professional, and willing to go above and beyond to care for their residents. I knew at our first meeting that the head of this unit is passionate about her job. She is always ready to answer your questions or help in any way. I am so glad I found this wonderful home for my sister!
