I wanted mom to be closer to mason city so I could see her more often. My first interaction was with susan wiley such a great response with phone calls, email, and setting tour. Boy am I glad I toured the place.its a beautiful place and Jackie is great at what she does. Very pleasant and helped with the process of getting mom in. All the staff I have met are wonderful and truly care about the residents living there. Mom even goes out to dining room to eat and socialize. Which she didn't feel comfortable at the other place she was in. She loves the activities esp bingo and music. I'm very impressed with homestead.

Amy Montgomery is absolutely the best director I’ve met. She truly cares about the residents as well as her staff. The staff are very pleasant! You can tell by talking to them that they all really enjoy helping others. My mom keeps very busy with daily events.

The Director, Susan Wiley, is a pleasure to deal with--always responsive and cheerful. My mother had a hard time because she did not want to leave her home, but after about 6 months she calmed down and came to understand why she was there. There are lots of activities. Although Mom complains that the food is too bland, she gets sick when she goes out to eat--she needs the bland food. The nurses are caring and considerate. The staff are encouraging and smiling. It was very hard to make the decision to put Mom there, but we did the right thing. Thanks to the Homestead of Mason City people for all that you do for my Mom and all of her crazy kids.

I sincerely thank God everyday that we discovered Homestead of Mason City! The Homestead building is beautiful but even more amazing is the staff! They truly care about their residents and go above and beyond to meet their needs. Our family member suffered a traumatic brain injury over ten years ago and lived in several different places until he moved into Homestead a year ago. It has been the best year for all of us since his accident!

My grandpa and uncle lived at The Homestead for years. We could not ask for a better place! The staff was always caring. They went out of their way to help residents live life on their own terms. Mary Montgomery treated us like part of a big family when we'd drive 3 states away to visit.
