Homestead of Knoxville

All of the staff at Homestead Knoxville are compassionate,caring and provide wonderful care for my mom. I am so grateful for them and their genuine care and compassion for Mom. The staff are wonderful do an amazing job assisting mom

My review centers more on Midwest Health (the corporate owner) and less on Homestead of Knoxville. In 2022-23, rates at Homestead increased by 8% (though in previous years the standard increase had been about 2%). Coincidentally, that same year, Congress approved an 8.5% cost of living increase for Social Security recipients. Midwest Health's 8% increase felt like a shameless money-grab couched in the language that all companies were using ("supply change issues," "labor shortages," etc.). Staff at the Knoxville location do the best they could, I suppose -- often trying to get things done in spite of corporate, rather than with corporate's cooperation. Essentially, this is the only game in town if you have a loved one who wants to stay local. My advice: Check in often, make yourself known to every staff member, and make sure your loved one's fridge is fully stocked at all times.

Homestead takes very good care of my husband. They balance independence with their individual needs. I am truly happy with my decision to have him live here.

My parents have been residents since June 2021 and its been a great experience. Great staff who really care.
