Homestead of Oskaloosa

The Kindred House in Ottumwa is absolutely the most wonderful, caring, and knowledgeable staff I've ever met. It is a clean, happy and loving assisted living facility. The residents are busy with the staff making projects daily. They listen to music which they absolutely love. Thanks employees for making their day and home enjoyable.

Homestead is a special place! All aspects of the transition has been great. Between the activities and all the caring staff it was hands down the best place for our loved one. When everyone is greeted by first name you know you have a winner.

So many happy residents! The Staff is amazing and they love their resident friends! The activities are so fun and there is something for everyone! The soft serve ice cream is a huge hit!!! My son was able to work with the activities director on his Eagle Scout project to build a raised garden bed to add some more outdoor activities for the gardeners! 🪴🧑‍🌾
