JUNIPER VILLAGE AT BROOKLINE - WELLSPRING MEMORY CARE

My recent visit to Juniper Village at Brookline’s Wellspring Memory Care left a truly lasting impression on me, both as a family member of loved ones who have lived with Alzheimer’s and as a professional resource for the clients and families I work with. What stood out immediately was the atmosphere. Residents were clearly free to be who they are, without unnecessary limitations, while still being supported in an environment that felt safe, calm, and thoughtfully designed. The common areas were bright, accessible, and laid out in a way that simply made sense — something that makes an enormous difference in dementia care. One detail I especially appreciated was the separated dining experiences for varying levels of ability. Another was the spa - there were options for what the resident may prefer or be able to handle with special accommodations for lighting, temperature and atmosphere. Meals and bathing are often two of the biggest challenges for caregivers, and Juniper Wellspring addressed both with smart, sensible solutions that have a powerful impact on comfort, dignity, nutrition and overall quality of life. The staff is professional and warm. No one — staff or residents — appeared rushed or stressed. The entire community had a steady, reassuring, and happy energy. The rooms and shared spaces were bright and cheerful, and the attention to detail throughout was impressive. In my experience, this is dementia care at its absolute finest.

Juniper at Wellspring in State College, Pa. is THE place for extroidinary care for loved ones with dementia/alzheimers. The endless activities are only surpassed by the genuine, top of the industry care shared by ALL of the staff from nurses to caregivers, to program directors, to maintenance and housekeeping personnel. I am constantly amazed at the outside programs brought in and for the constant field trips offered. Trips to the Waffle Shoppe Restaurant, local parades, athletic events , Halloween celebrations etc. Woodrings Floral delivers flowers weekly which the residents then arrange. There is a garden on site, movies daily, music daily. Penn State students visit, special meals for families of residents are shared. The Thanksgiving meal we just shared was absolutely equal to a restaurant quality! Tables decorated, each family served their own meal. No one likes to admit they can no longer care for a loved one at home. When the reality sadly sets in though, we are beyond fortunate to have a place like Wellspring to share in the care of our family members when needed. Thank you Juniper Wellspring. Your brand new carpeting, paint, flooring, cabinetry, soon to be new furniture, is beautiful too! Most of all thank you to the staff who treat us all like family.

I am so thankful for Juniper Wellspring for my mom. They are so kind, have a lot of activities, know my mom well after a very short time there, and for the first time in a while, I was able to go on vacation knowing mom was in good hands. I can text staff to see how her day is going, and they get back to me usually under 5 minutes. I am so so thankful!!!
