This is the finest team of dedicated staff! The Chef-prepared meals are the best. I love that the community is small enough that the staff get to know everyone and their specific likes and needs. It is a very catered lifestyle - with people who care.

My post is very specifically about the staff in memory care. You need to first understand our situation. I live out of town, and pop in every 6-8 weeks unannounced. It's terrifying to have a mother experiencing memory challenges and unable to reach out whenever I'd like. The fear stopped when Taneka joined. Taneka is far and above the most caring and talented director I've seen in the time we've been at Kingsland Walk. She is the third or fourth in just a couple of years (turnover is a problem). Since she's joined I've seen a consistency in my mother's joy -- well beyond the basics of care -- and it's clear that she's demanding the same of everyone around her. There are more activities, more stimulation, and a generally buoyancy in how she's approached and treated. I was just in town for her birthday (84!) and they had a full celebration for her. Rivaled anything I could have done on my own. Mom loves to dance, sing, and testify (often in that order), and I have videos of her doing all three with staff that I will cherish forever. There are also a few others who have clearly surrounded mom with the love and respect she deserves, and I'm beyond grateful. Huge shout out to Sherice and Sandra. Also Sherrell (sp) is clearly the best nurse they've had in a while. Bottom line is that Taneka should receive a sizable bonus and full support of her vision. She's the reason I recommend Kingsland Walk, and has a talent you can't teach.

I am updating my review which is still 5 stars! This is picture of my mom today and one before she came to Kingsland Walk. She has always been in Memory Care with Dementia. She will have been here for a total of five years in May. This facility has been a GODSEND. The Executive Director, Cindy, is wonderful. We have never had anything taken, any mishaps with medications or any concerns that were not attended to quickly. Taneka, the MC Director is passionate and caring. I call her the Alzheimer’s Whisperer. She always answers her phone. Always quick to reply. The residents love her. She is one of the longest serving MC Directors since we have been here. Spent the night on snow days when staff called in not able to drive. The Activity Directory, Mecca, is fun, caring and includes MC residents. Cherelle, the MC Nurse, is smart, caring and compassionate. She is always on the floor asking about my mom’s needs or our concerns. As my hubby and I are the only caretakers for my mom, these girls have been a rock for me personally. The whole staff is phenomenal (Nurse Valerie, Med Techs, Front Desk, Chef, Meghan, Sandra, Nicole, Joe, Housekeeping) and we are so grateful. Highly recommend Kingsland Walk.

I am so glad I found Kingsland Walk! My mother was dubious about moving to St. Louis but is doing so well and enjoying it so much since moving in. Everyone from director Cindy on down is so friendly and caring towards the residents. My mom's apartment is very nice/roomy and affordable compared to other places and she's made friends. It's such a comfort to know she is happy and safe and close.

I absolutely love Kingsland Walk Senior Living. This has to be one of the best centers in Missouri. The director, Cindy, and the supervisors Tanika, Euro and all of the staff I have encountered for my family member have been exceptional! They are so caring from the front desk to the care providers to the cleaning staff, it is just exceptional care. The activities are really impressive and are tailored to independent, memory care and assisted living residents to ensure there are many opportunities to remain engaged! Taneka hosts birthday parties for residents and various events and the love she displays is incredible for residents. Cindy and her team have made the experience beyond incredible with so many new programs in place. Thank you for creating a special place we can call home!
