Lake Barrington Woods

Our friend's parents live there and we have eaten there and visited many times. This community is one of the nicest in the area. The staff are friendly, kind and supportive. The community is beautiful and clean. The meals we have shared with them are delicious and the servers are attentive. Our friend's parents have joined water aerobics and book club -- there always seems to be something going on to keep residents engaged.

I used to love this place. I was instrumental in getting my parents to move there. However, my parents who are 101 and 98 have not had running water in their apartment since last Wednesday that is five days and counting! How do they expect people to live like this? It is unsanitary. It is unhealthy. It is dangerous. Any place else there would be a crew there 24 seven until this was resolved. I am deeply concerned.

A beautiful community surrounded by nature! Lake Barrington Woods has such a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere with gorgeous green space all around. Inside, the accommodations are just as impressive, warm and home- like with so many inviting common areas. Residence enjoy a wonderful variety of activities and social events, including happy hour, Restaurant, style dining, and a great heated swimming pool. When I visited, residents were participating in water aerobics, and it was wonderful to see how engaging happy everyone was. A truly vibrant and caring community!

I have recently passed my second anniversary at Lake Barrington Woods. I have not regretted my decision. The facility is very nice, and I am quite happy with my apartment. The staff - wait staff and caregivers - are considerate and patient. There are many meal options, and the food is good. I have made friends and the schedule of activities provides something for everyone. You can keep as busy as you'd like.

My mother has the greatest caregivers and nurses here. She's really taken care of here. She enjoys everyone, and I'm so thankful she's in a safe and caring place now. Living alone before here was getting problematic. The Woods solved all her needs. The food is great and the activities are plentiful and wonderful. I'd make the same decision again, and I'd recommend this facility to anyone needing Independent or Assisted Living. Handicap parking and access available.
