We thought this facility was beautiful and a great place for our family member. It was NOT!! Looks can be deceiving. Before you place your loved one in this facility do your research. There are places that are much better. The food was mediocre. The staff was fixed much better food than what the residents received. Our loved one did NOT receive the care we agreed to upon her admission. Her paperwork was not filed with her long term insurance for months on end we fought to get this done. It seemed to me the administrator did not make sure the staff was doing their job. Staff members would sleep in the spa area as it was not being used. This is a beautiful place but it's lip stick on a pig. Please do your RESEARCH before placing a loved on in this place. If I could have given Legends a ZERO star I would, but had no choice to but click a one star WAY TOO HIGH of a rating for this place.

Look elsewhere if you desire to see your loved one well nourished! At a time in life when nutrition and fresh produce and fruits and meals should be paramount, The Legend of Colorado Springs dismisses the repeated requests of family to address this problem. This serious concern has been brought to the CEO Matt Buchanan with no tangible results. I urge you to look elsewhere for your loved one if you want them to be able to enjoy their meals. While the facility is nice and the staff caring, the lack of any attention to the food is deplorable. I asked the CEO of The Legend Matt Buchanan to come and share some meals on site as no one would want to feed their loved ones mostly frozen foods. It’s nice that they take the time to respond to the reviews, but it would be better if the focus would be on actually correcting the problem with the lack of nutritious delicious fresh food for those we love. We have brought our concerns repeatedly to senior leadership and yet the issues related to nutrition and the overall dining experience continue to remain unresolved.
