My Mom had dementia and was there a year and a half. The care from the management (Prisilla and Francis ) to the staff was stellar! I went all times of the day to check in. Everyone was so kind and compassionate. The caregivers, the compassion, the incredible food, the activities, the other residents is unparalleled! They are Medicaid friendly. Our mom spent over a year at another facility where we had one problem after another. At the advice of the Memory Care Adminstrators, who left because they got no support from management, we toured Lifespire. (Thank you Sue Anne and Jacquie!) Mom has been here about 3 months and what a wonderful difference! Priscilla, the Director, is on top of things and just great at her job! The Caregivers are attentive and really know the residents. The Chefs prepare wonderful meals and they are served promptly and warm. The other residents have been very welcoming. The building is always clean and it is easy to find a caregiver if you need something. We are so glad we made this switch. Nice, personalized, smaller and easy to get to. Carolyn, the owner, is involved and available. Kathy, at the Oakland Avenue facility, is personable and caring. The activities director at this facility, Helen, is always trying to keep the clients engaged. Could not be happier. Great care for my family. Just by chance we ended up here and what a blessing it has been. The crews of all the facilites have had tough challenges because of the Covid epidemic. Thank you for being there. John Thatcher

After moving my 93yo mother from her initial long term / memory care facility (that was $7500/mo and was deplorable in all aspects) to Life Spire Oakland we noticed an immediate and drastic improvement in the personal care my mother received and a marked improvement in her quality of life. Additionally the cost was a much more palatable. Cost aside, the facility itself was quite cherry and all the employees you came in contact with seemed to genuinely care about my mother. She suffered from moderate to worse dementia, sundowners syndrome, and had just recently lost her sight due to glaucoma - so she was a handful. Never-the-less she was treated with care and compassion. The food was simple and very tasty (important for those residents unable to access or comprehend simple pleasures). Additionally there were numerous weekly entertainment activities such as Friday afternoon happy hour and with live music. Life Spire even had a petting zoo come for an afternoon. My mother was put on hospice status and the staff worked well with the hospice staff in coordinating her meds etc. My wife and I feel that Life Spire is a good reasonably priced facility with management and staff genuinely concerned with kind and attentive care for their residents.

My experience with Life Spire has been amazing. My grandmother lived at Life Spire from January through September of 2018. The owners are amazing people and the staff is amazing as well. Ryan, Ashley, Lisa, Mateo, Ernie, Margarita and all the other staff (sorry if I forgot your name) made my grandmother feel like she was at home and took great care of her. If you are looking for a facility for a loved one, I highly recommend Life Spire. The facility is beautiful and clean and they have great staff who will take great care of your loved ones. Thank you Life Spire for all you did for my grandmother! She truly enjoyed the time she spent there and we will never forgot you all!
