LOVING CARE AND COMFORT GA1

My MIL has been living at Varenita for about 2 years. It was great in the beginning but when new management came in everything changed. Now we are paying way more than initially and the care has decreased quite a bit. They don't check on their patients nearly enough. The other day my husband visited and was livid when he got home because they had left his mother who has dementia and incontinence sitting in a puddle of her own urine for quite a while as it had soaked through her poise pad, depends underwear, and towel she was sitting on through to her recliner. Plus, he had called earlier to ask someone to check on her because it was hot in her room and they never did. It was 86 degrees in her apartment and she was sweating. It's like they don't really care about the people living there anymore. This new management company only cares about getting their money.

My mother has been living here for over 2 years, and it was a great AL facility, a bit pricy but it offered excellent care and amenities. Since Sunrise has taken over the management of Varenita, the fees have increased, and the level of care has decreased. The cut back on staff has really hurt what used to be an outstanding facility. I hope they realize this and make a course correction soon. The people there wonderful. They just need more of them.

My husband transferred from a different memory care facility to Varenita! Best move ever! Extremely caring and friendly staff and fun activities!

Varenita is a wonderful place full of so many caring and professional staff members! I moved my father into Assisted Living there first, then later Memory Care due to his dementia. Everyone was so nice and respectful and I knew he was well cared for.

Love this place!! Always have something fantastic going on for my mother and everyone! Kent the activities director is awesome! He really gets to picking the brain and learning what the residents like! And it's awesome bc the staff and director also participates in the activities too!
