Caring, capable and loving staff took care of my type 1 diabetic dad. They rose to the occasion and stayed on top of insulin and sugar as needed. He was in memory care and was always clean, housekeeping was great. He passed at 97 and my family is very satisfied with this facility and the care they provided. I do urge families to visit often and be a part of the care team.

Back in 2022 when my dad, who had dementia, was not doing well, and had just been evicted from his previous memory care unit, for needing too much care and being very difficult and overactive, I could not find any other place in the Atlanta metro area that would take my dad in. He was stuck in the VA hospital while we tried to find a new place for him to live. I was referred to Magnolia by someone who said "the director there is great, she will take your dad, and they serve as a place where you don't need to move your loved one again". My father finally passed away recently, but his 3 years there were very peaceful, they took good care of him, and the staff was always very friendly, and the other residents also seemed content and well taken care of. In terms of the facility, what really stood out from other places my dad lived at and ones I did tours of, is Magnolia has wide open hallways, tall ceilings, a nice porch area for when the weather is nicer, a nice view and grass and landscaping out front for a walk or wheelchair venture. It is not cramped, small, depressing, with an unhappy staff like many places seem to have. It is also very affordable relative to other places. I highly recommend Magnolia if you find yourself needing to have your loved one live in a memory care, or other assisted living unit (the two types are on two separate floors).

Don’t leave your family members here. Caregivers could care less about the residents health or safety. Barely bathing or changing residents,The executive director of the building knows nothing about the abuse of the residents or lack of care in the building and all other managers barely step up. Building is unsanitary with roaches and the owners see nothing but dollar signs. Place should be shut down!

So we had to move my mom to Magnolia in 11/23. I have to say I had my reservations reading some of the reviews, but there is always best first hand experience. Yes my mom still wants to go home but I have peace of mind knowing mom is being cared for. The staff on the memory care unit really care for their patients. Now I still think they are under staffed but they make sure they are cared for. They make sure the residents eat on time. They have a lot of great activities if the residents participate. Overall I am very pleased with mom's care. I DO recommend Magnolia for your loved ones. The staff are all very professional and I go there almost every day. hope no one has to but reality of life when you do Magnolia is a very good place to start.

I wish I could give Magnolia a better review. They took decent care of Mom in respite. But the person in charge was rude and always seemed very annoyed. After I paid for the 2 weeks respite, she actually told me that she had given me the wrong price and demanded more as I was leaving for our trip. Another thing was my Mom, since she is not very mobile, likes to watch TV in her room. They never set it up for her until the last few days, so she was bored and lonely while she was there.
