Dear Christian, Ray, Michelle, Emily, Giovanni, Louisa, Ray, Aaysia, Samantha, Cindy, Sandy and Daisa, Thanks a bazillion to each of you and your entire team at M@O for so smoothly transitioning Mom age 101 & 10 months from her home of 76 years followed by 12 days in the hospital to your lovely facility. You are a blessing to Mom and our entire family. Your kindness, diligence, attentiveness to every detail and professionalism is without parallel. Over a 15 year period I took Mom for lunch at 12+ similar communities from Branford to Stamford CT and some on multiple occasions. None compare to the complete package of assisted living, 24/7 RN staffing coupled with The CT Hospice, Branford oversight on an outpatient basis which you deliver in tandem. God bless you all. Now Mom gets the very best care in a loving environment in a room with a southern exposure that Christian hand picked for her. Mom loves it and now we can visit Mom without the wear and tear on her and us as she aged in place at home. Bravissimo M@O!

We have found the staff at Maplewood Orange to be a great partner in caring for our mom. Their help with the original move-in was invaluable and reassuring for the family that this was the right place for our mother. When it became necessary to move her to another floor, the maintenance staff was terrific, working with mom to quickly get her new room set up so she could get herself settled with familiar belongings around her. If you ask her what she likes about Maplewood, she will always say the daily exercise classes, the flower arranging, and the programs offered, especially the musical ones. She also says frequently that the food is very good – that she has never had a bad meal! The family is also grateful for the insight from all the staff on the best way to care for mom. Maplewood of Orange, was extremely clean airy and pleasant we were greeted upon arrival by the front associate, Cindy who made us feel welcome excited to be there. We had an appointment with Caroline the sales person, was so helpful and answered all of our questions, including the ones I had to after the tour on her cell, and she answered every time. The apartments reflected the same atmosphere and cleanliness of the entire establishment. I would recommend Maplewood of Orange to anyone who is looking for a relaxed, spotless and friendly environment!

Maplewood at Orange is an outstanding assisted living community. The accommodations, food, activities and resident care are of the finest quality. Maplewood was my mother's home for over four years including during the covid pandemic. As her care levels changed the management team worked with our family to provide optimal care and support while always being cognizant of our concerns and specific needs. Recently, I have had experience with two other assisted living communities in Connecticut for family members not under my direct care. Simply put, the difference between these organizations and Maplewood was night and day. Whereas, all facilities were modern, clean, and nicely appointed, the management focus was completely different. At Maplewood you are part of a family and there is a genuine compassion and concern for your loved one. Decisions are made in conjunction with the family and in all cases the welfare of the resident is of paramount concern. The other facilities' main focus were profitability of the organizations and resident needs were secondary. Constant up-charges and inflexible policies occurred frequently, requiring facility moves and ultimately, nursing home placement. At Maplewood the team and staff know every resident and family member by name; relationships are maintained long after your loved one's residency ends. In summary, if you are exploring assisted living communities, Maplewood has earned my highest endorsement. There are other facilities that may be newer, but you will not find the level of 24-hour care, compassion and sense of family that Maplewood at Orange provides. The difference is the people. At Maplewood your loved one is with family.

My siblings and I kept my mom home with 24 hour care for 5 years. When it came time to find a place for her we decided on Maplewoods at Orange. I cannot say enough about the facility and the entire staff. My mom is in the memory care unit and her room looks like a hotel room! The entire place looks like a hotel! When I visit her, it doesn’t look or smell like a nursing home. They have many activities for the residents but what impressed us the most is the staff. They honestly care about the residents and the families. After about one week of my mom being there- the staff knew me and my sister and there are a lot of residents there!! The staff is also aware of the slightest change in my mom and call me immediately. I have been a nurse for 38 years and I know a quality place and Maplewoods of Orange is the best. I HIGHLY recommend!
