Martin-Boyd Christian Home

Our community is so fortunate to have Martin Boyd Christian Home in our area. My mother, Louise Phillips, was a resident at their facility for two and a half years. During that time she received exceptional care and attention. She very much enjoyed the friendly, caring staff as did our family during visits. My mother was a resident at Martin Boyd for over one year. She she received excellent care by the staff. Although a number of employees were responsible for taking care of my mom, my wife and I were very satisfied with the timely service provided either as requested or needed. We found the employees to be compassionate in dealing with my mom and noticed the same attitude displayed with other residents. We would highly recommend this facility in providing assistance to someone that can no longer take care of themselves at home.

My grandmother lived at Martin Boyd for a few years in the late 1980’s, so when it became time for my mother to move into an assisted living facility I knew where I wanted my mother to live. Martin Boyd provided my grandmother and mother excellent care. Martin Boyd offered activities, exercising, group gatherings and a full time chef to fix 3 meals a day. A beauty shop, a laundry room and room cleaning were excellent. Martin Boyd is a nonprofit organization subsidized by the Church of Christ. I am thankful for Martin Boyd and their employees who took excellent care of my grandmother and mother. CL

My mother has been a resident at the Martin Boyd Assisted Living facility for the past 4 years and I recently told one of her attendants what peace I have in knowing my mother is receiving such excellent, attentive care. I visit at different times at least once a week and her room is always neat and clean, she is groomed and most importantly she loves the staff. They tell me about her day, funny stories and if she should need any supplies. My in- laws were also at Martin Boyd several years ago and they received the same excellent care. My recommendations to this wonderful, loving facility that gives the care we wish we could to those who raised us and now depend on us for the care they deserve.

My mom loves living at Martin Boyd. She enjoys all the activities- the weekdays are full of enrichment events. She especially likes the music programs and the scenic drives. I eat lunch with her once a week and the food is delicious. The staff have been responsive when I’ve had questions and they have been proactive about my mom’s care. I appreciate the alert button she has in the bathroom and the two by her bed - one for in bed, one for when she is just in her room. She gets her hair done at the on-site salon - so convenient. She doesn’t like to ask for help, but it’s always there when she needs or wants it. Before Martin Boyd, I didn’t like leaving town unless another family member came while I was away. Now, I can leave town without worrying about her, knowing she is in good hands. Before she moved to assisted living, I had heard good things about Martin Boyd from a number of friends, including one who managed another senior facility. When the time came, it was a smooth transition because I had already made my decision and introduced my mom to the idea. The price is fair and I really like that they don’t nickel and dime you with add-on services. Mom settled right in and loves her room, her friends, and all her helpers. Whether your loved one is just starting to need a little assistance, or needs a lot of assistance, or needs secure memory care, I recommend Martin Boyd.
