Do not reccomend, neglect is rampant and its impossible to get ahold of staff during night hours. Staff walk away when attempting to talk to them and had 2 different staff tell me to find a supervisor if there's any issues. Patiant developed injurys due to lack of movement and was sitting in urine soak clothing for hours before somone did something about it

Hello If you are looking for an independent community look no farther than Ashlar Village without a doubt we have the nicest people and staff. We have visited 10 different communities and nothing compares. Ashlar has more amenities and activities than any other community. Come visit and see for yourself.

Our Critique of Ashlar Village - 2025 PERSONAL EXPERIENCE My wife, Joyce (80), and I (81) have had the pleasure of calling Ashlar Village (AV) home for the past three years. Nestled within the independent living facility at Notch Hill, our apartment offers us the perfect balance of comfort and conveniences. Life at AV truly feels like royalty! The community provides a comprehensive range of amenities that enrich our daily experience - a beautiful apartment, exceptional dining services, house keeping, engaging in daily activities, 24/7 security, Wellness programs, and transportation services. One of the standout features is what we call the "AV Mall", a hub that brings together a variety of conveniences. From shops and a gym to a hair salon, a billiards room, and much more, everything we need is within reach! Yet, beyond the amenities, the greatest treasure at AV is its people. With over 400 residents the community is warm, welcoming and deeply connected. Many dedicate their time to volunteer work, strengthening the bonds that make this place feel like home. The friendships we've built here are invaluable, and they continually remind us why AV is such a special place to live! COMMUNITY AND LIFESTYLE Ashlar Village is more than just a residence - it is a thriving community that enriches every stage of life. AV offers a balance of independence, support, and connection, making it an ideal place to thrive. Joyce and I are experiencing a life where new friendships blossom, well - being is prioritized, and each day is filled with comfort, purpose, and joy! Living here means embracing a lifestyle centered on security, laughter, and endless possibilities! At Ashlar Village, residents don't just live, they flourish! Ed and Joyce Senesac, AV Residents A recent AV Haiku Poem we wrote: Tranquil paths unfold, Laughter blooms where neighbors meet, Ashlar feels like home.

I agree with Donna C. The management and CNAs (excluding a specific few) at Ashlar has gone from being friendly, helpful & welcoming to outright rude and at times disrespectful and liars , They lied to keep their job. I know several people who have chosen other places to live due solely to the way they have been spoken to by those who are supposed to be 'selling' it. Feel bad for some staff who have to work for them. Too bad because the place itself is very beautiful but needs a change in the management and needs training CNAS that don't pick and choose who they are going to work with and learn how to respect other workers'experience and respect their job . I don't think is fair for great caregivers lose their job because of a CNA behaviour and lies ...

Wonderful place to live and retire. There are several different options, from hospice care to apartment living to larger condos and even duplexes. Friendly staff and even friendlier residents. Lots of activities and well maintained.
