MAYFIELD OAKS

I would reconsider the person you have answering the phones or maybe provide a better training about customer service. Her name is Carla. I called to ask a question, she didn't care to hear anything I had to say. I asked to speak to someone and she said they are a small company, that they have everything they need and hung up on me. She had no idea what I was going to ask. If I want to speak to someone specific to ask a couple of questions about a family member that possibly was going to go there, and you hang up on me, that tells me that this place is not the right one. Is that the treatment that the seniors get? I would not recommend this place to anyone. It may not be the place itself, but receptionists have the most important job, which is the first contact with a potential customer. They should be welcoming, if you have a rude, bad receptionist that will really hurt the business.

I teach yoga at various assisted living places. This is a small Senior Living community as it is exceptionally good. The staff is very caring. The residents are very happy. The atmosphere is like they are at home. And the food is cooked fresh from scratch daily. Hard to get a spot as they have a wait list.

I have only had my wife in Mayfield Oaks for 19 days but the care she is receiving is far superior to the lack of care she was receiving from her previous facility. She is being cared for by caregivers who actually care about her well-being in a facility that promotes this attitude. My wife passed away on 12/17/21. I miss her so much. The last 3 1/2 months have been some of the best time we have had. together in years. From the day we moved her into Mayfield I was no longer a caregiver, I was a husband again. If she need help all I had to do was ask or push a button and in a few minutes a caregiver would be in to take care of her. They did this with a smile and kind words always. I was confident that at night I could go home and she would be well cared for. I was there every day and I could see that the residents were all treated like family. This is the culture the hands on owners promote. I am very happy to recommend this exceptional facility to anyone that would like to have there love one taken care of like there on family would. I will be happy to go back and visit my Mayfield family from time to time. Thank you to Helen, Jim and all the staff at Mayfield Oaks.

Mayfield Oaks is an exceptional home for my mom. The love, care and personalized attention have exceeded our expectations. My mom previously lived in a larger assisted living facility. They did a good job there, but they just didn't have the staff to resident ratio to be able to offer the personalized care and services that Mayfield Oaks offers. We especially appreciate the long tenure of most employees at Mayfield Oaks. Helen Boyle and her staff do an excellent job!

Mayfield Oaks has been a life saver for our family. Our mom has Lewy Bodies dementia and Parkinson’s. Mayfield is absolutely amazing with their care and understanding of these horrible diseases. After a long period trying to find the best option for our mom and having to move in and out of various properties, we realized she just could not adapt well to the larger communities. The resort-like atmosphere of those places was very appealing to us, as younger adults, but once you got past the flashiness, it was always missing was the love and care you get when living in a smaller place. The attention our mom receives now is better than even we could give her in our own home. She fell in love with Mayfield because it reminded her of her own house and she feels like she is living with family – and the staff has truly become our extended family. It’s been the single greatest choice we have ever made. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Mom is in her third year there and will be there until the end. We sleep better at night because of these wonderful people. I’m a real person not some friend putting up a review. Stop looking because you found the right place.
