My mom has been there for a little over a year...the staff is great! Caring and helpful! My and my mom's favorites are The now, director, Tasha, and Margaret is great! I personally recommend you talk to them! Some improvements are in the works, the food most importantly. Sure wish the pool were still open! And the fountain in the courtyard would be do beautiful...if you go see a room/apartment in the assisted living...ask to see my mom's! Joyce Thompson! Its beautiful 😍 Blessed to have my mom there! Thank you Tosha and Margaret for caring so much, as well as Donna, the activities director, all the cafeteria people, techs.... Thank you ALLLLLLLL!!!!

My mom has been in the Assisted Living part of the McKendree campus since 12/1/25. She is now in rehab in Skilled Nursing there. The staff have been very easy to work with and genuinely caring and attentive to her needs. From the intake process with Margaret St Charles, the nursing care from Astrid and Michelle, and the ongoing support from LaTasha Turner, everyone has treated us with care, compassion, and respect. LaTasha has been particularly helpful as we navigate my mom’s ‘new normal’. I am forever grateful.

My friend moved to McKendree Village in 1996, initially in a cottage. Later she moved to an apartment in the Towers and in 2020 she moved to Assisted Living because she needed medication management. She is grateful for the forward thinking of the Methodist Church to establish McKendree those many years ago, even though it is no longer owned or operated by the church. Even with several ownership changes, she continues to be grateful for the safety and comfort of McKendree. And she is happy to know that there are still more levels of care should she need to utilize them. We have good communication with staff, and they all love her - and she loves them. Go McKendree!

The McKendree assisted living facility has been good for dad. He kept to himself the first week or two, but now he has become involved in organized activities. He enjoys bingo and the sit-and-fit exercise class. The exercise class is helping him feel better. He is walking outside when weather permits and is happy when he is able to walk farther. He is also receiving physical therapy. At 93 years old, he is doing very well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dad likes Tasha, Tanya and the medical staff. Margaret was very helpful and responsive when we were first considering moving dad to McKendree. Overall, we are happy with our choice. It's so much better than dad living alone.

We moved my parents into the Assisted Living facility at The McKendree earlier this year. The staff went out of their way to help them adjust to the move and were, and are, quick in their responses to me and my siblings anytime we have a question. Mom broke her hip a couple of months after they moved in and was in their skilled nursing facility for a time. While there the staff would check on my dad throughout the day to be sure he had everything he needed. The DON, Tasha, was instrumental in getting mom back over to assisted living so my parents could be together. My dad went on hospice in early fall and passed away. The nurses and staff were compassionate during this time ensuring their needs were being met. Mom continues to receive excellent care from the nurses, CNAs, and techs. I am thankful for the staff and would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.
