Memory Care at Good Shepherd ALF2

Let me just start off by saying wow. This is coming from someone who does not leave comments or reviews. But I felt compelled to leave a review. From the moment I stepped into this facility I was greeted with a warm hello as if I was family. I am a gardener who also teaches sustainability for the Little Rock area. I came into this facility hoping to put in a sensory garden for their residence which we accomplished that last year and as I began to put in this Garden for for I thought it was just going to be for the residents the staff came out of nowhere from the cooks in the back to the to the groundskeepers to the environmental team I was greeted by all with warm hellos. But I must admit there was one resident who really captured my heart her name was Peggy Peggy is no longer with us God rest her soul in my condolences to her family. Peggy saw that we were putting in a garden Peggy has been a long time residence of Grand Brook. Quickly I noticed Peggy approaching the New Garden space. As she got got closer the staff immediately recognized her hey Miss Peggy how are you is everything okay come to find out later miss Peggy never leaves the common area but this one particular day she made her way outside to the Garden space. And the words that came out of her mouth was breathtaking and heartfelt she said hey guys y'all have finally figured it out in a very touching comical way she said I knew that you would one day I just didn't know when. Kelly the director asked what do you mean Mrs. Kelly. Peggy reply I'm a gardener this is the best day of my life with tears in her eyes she immediately began to touch the basil the oregano the time all the herbs when I say she lit up like a child full of energy very complacent in her everyday living but this one particular day she was like a kid at Chuck E cheese she had finally won the big prize!🏆 Miss Peggy along with several other residents took this project head on it was an actual field day for these residents. And I can't leave out the staff from the back the kitchen crew everyone came out to the Garden Day or Grow Day as it was named it was so much teamwork, laughter and love . This was all pair genuine feelings and emotions and I got a chance to see it all materialized right before my eyes ❤️ what a pure genuine moment in life I truly will never forget this day. A day of giving turned into a lifelong memory thank you Kelly thank you Melissa thank you Lisa and Sarah forgive me if I'm leaving anyone out. This entire staff is awesome

I am so impressed with Grand Brook Memory Care of Little Rock. The staff is so positive and professional. I was so impressed when I was there on Sept. 11 to see the staff providing lunch for first responders. Not only do they take great care of their residents, but they also ensure the community feels loved and appreciated.

This is one of the best Memory Care facilities around. The staff is excellent and so is the care!!!! The smiling faces make everything you seem to be going through fade away!!!

I recently placed a client at this facility! I mist say the process was easy. We were well informed and often updated. We enjoy interacting with the staff. You can tell they definitely care.

My Mother is a resident here. The staff is outstanding and the center itself is clean, safe, warm & inviting. Excellent leadership with Matt Manning as Administrator & outstanding Activity Director, Marta Harrell!
