I would strongly encourage people to do their research before admitting loved ones to any Skilled Nursing Facility. The State completes a review of patient safety, physical hazards, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance each year. This report is public information, and you have the right to the ask the nursing home for the report before you admit your family member to the facility. I wish I had done my research before I admitted my mother to Mineral Springs. Mineral Springs became a special focus center last year because they failed many compliance issues. And, I want to be clear--this occurred under the new ownership of 603 Healthcare NOT under Genesis Healthcare. My mother fell victim to Mineral Springs lack of care. The Center puts the residents on a shower schedule , and my understanding is that each resident is suppose to receive a shower or bath at least once a week. I thought this is what was happening. It wasn't until much later that I found out that my mother was NOT getting her scheduled weekly shower because "The nursing staff did not feel supported, so they just were not giving baths." This is what I was told. Moreover, my mother was blind and deaf. So, I could not give her a cell phone. Mineral Springs absolutely never picked up the phone when I tried to call my mother. I even tried to call at different times during the day and night--and just no answer. Yes, I would agree the receptionist, Chris Collins, would constantly disconnect the call when she transferred me to the wing, and she just was not helpful in letting me know when I could call and actually reach my mother. On a positive note, I would say the original Administrator, Barbara White, seemed amazing. She was reachable, and she really took an interest in showing she cared for the residents, including my mother. Mineral Springs has been through several Administrators now, and I have to say the Center has not been the same since. The current Administrator, Chrystal, is unprofessional, rude, and unapologetic about the lack of care my mother receive. I strongly feel my mother could have lived longer had she received better care. Please do your research for your loved ones.

Wouldn’t give any star if I could. My step father was there for rehab he was a fall risk he was walked to the bathroom without proper training and he fell and was moved to his bed YOU DONT MOVE an head trauma person , and end results he died. Not one person called my mother to see how he was or to say they were sorry. If I knew there was a 3 year time frame to sue I would have.

I stayed at Mineral Springs in North Conway, NH for rehab. I was disappointed by the lack of response and care from the staff. I had diarrhea, and I received no relief or help with this issue at all. I used the call bell to ask for assistance, but nobody came for long periods of time. I could hear people laughing right outside my door but no one came in to help me even though my call bell has been going off for almost an hour. The nursing staff told me to just wet myself, and they would change me when they could. But, I didn't want to wet myself. I wanted assistance to the bathroom. I needed to get out of that place quickly, but I needed rehab. Also, they do not have a licensed Social Worker here at all. They have a young women, named Olivia, but she is not a licensed Social Worker, and, unfortunately, she doesn't understand HIPPA laws at all. She invited my whole family to my care plan meetings without my consent. I spoke to the Administrator, Chrystal Locke, about this concern, and she just said that "Your family needs to be involved in your care too." Apparently, she doesn't understand HIPPA laws either. My health should remain private. Moreover, when my family or friends would call the Center to speak with me the Receptionist didn't know how to connect the call. My family said that they were constantly hung up on. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

When my father arrived at Mineral Springs from another facility he went right into hospice. A year later after attentive care and after receiving therapies (especially since 603 Healthcare took ownership), he is thriving.

Mineral Springs is going above and beyond in caring for my family member!! The team members are providing well coordinated care during her skilled admission. At each of my family members’ accomplishments, the staff have been genuinely interested, supportive and incredibly encouraging! From the day of her arrival to the present time, each interaction with staff has been professional and caring. We are fortunate to have a skilled care facility here in the Valley for our family members. Bev
