Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford

My aunt has been at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford for 9 months. She has severe cognitive impairment resulting from vascular dementia and a closed head injury. Alexian would only take her in their memory care program. Morning Pointe accepted her with maximum support and with the proviso that she would need to be transferred to the Lantern if she did not improve. She has done so well that she no longer needs a personal aide, pain management, frequent nurse practitioner checks or physical therapy. The facility is clean, well maintained and secure. Morning Pointe offers an excellent program of social engagement, that has greatly benefitted my aunt . The nursing staff is more than adequate and responsive to her many needs. There are no superlatives that accurately describe the Community Relations Director (Emily) and Executive Director (Michelle). They are without comparison. They have assisted and supported me through a very difficult family situation. I recommend Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford without reservation.

My parents are 85+ years old and moved into Morning Pointe a little over 14 months ago. This has been the best thing for them. They now have daily interaction with new friends, excellent nursing and prescription drug care, healthy food for every meal, and a beautiful apartment to live in. The administrative staff has been wonderful and friendly, the nurses are extremely nice and knowledgeable, and the rest of the team has been a joy to work with. I may sound like an advertisement for Morning Pointe, but I am not. I am a the son of two great parents and relieved to know that they have a safe place to live where the quality of their life has been greatly improved.

I can't say enough positive things about Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford. The dedication of the staff is shown in how they have continued to treat my mother with respect and kindness in the last 4 years she has lived there. My mother has stated, "It's a really good place to be cause the people are so kind". From the facility, to the activities offered, and most importantly the dedication of the staff, I feel great knowing my mother is well taken care of. I have provided physical therapy to the residents here since it opened eight years ago and have loved every minute! The staff provides excellent care to the residents and assists in carrying out care plans set for each of them. The facility is so nice and provides a wonderful new “home” for its residents keeping them active, busy, and entertained when they want to be and also allowing them the privacy to enjoy their own apartment when that’s their preference. There is a great team there providing all the needs and attending to any special needs a resident might have on a given day. We love our residents and think of them as family!

My mom has been at Morning Pointe On Shallowford Road for over six years. We would never consider any other place. Morning Pointe has been like home to her and offers the opportunity to socialize in many activities as she chooses. The staff is friendly and helpful in meeting her needs .
