I toured this facility and several others in early December due to my 89 year old mother having a stroke. She and my 90 year old dad had been living independently up until this point. My mom has always been the typical 1950’s housewife …taking complete care of her husband. After the stroke, we knew she would not be able to return to their home. All of the places I toured were nice, clean, and well staffed but there was just something missing. I had been praying for God to lead me to the place that would protect, care for, and love my parents…. a place where my brothers and I didn’t live in fear of them falling and no one finding them for hours. I found that missing something and more when I walked into Charter Living. I honestly had a feeling of peace come over me. I knew then that God had led me to this facility. Emily was so comforting to me as this all was happening so quickly. She explained how everything worked and immediately put me at ease. Throughout the tour, I continued to feel at peace with my decision. The entire staff has been wonderful, helpful, professional and loving to my parents, my brothers, and myself. I could mention several names but I’m afraid that I might leave someone out. Also, I would like to add…. The ice storm we had in late January/early February did not concern my brothers or myself regard to my parents staying warm, well fed and protected. Charter has a generator in case of power loss and many of the staff stayed for several days, spending the night to make sure the residents were properly cared for. Their motto: This is their home, we are just fortunate to work here. They live by this. I can’t possibly say enough about how happy I am that God led me to Emily and Charter Living.

Thinking about moving a loved one to any type of facility is emotionally draining. The staff at Charter is beyond amazing. From the moment we walked in to tour, to moving my mom into her new apartment - they were there to make the process as seamless as possible. It is obvious that all of them are truly there for the right reason… to care and love on all of the residents as if they were their own family. Emily the director, Kelly the head nurse, Brittany the activity coordinator, nurses / caregivers Shiela, Angela, Patricia and so many others have welcomed my mom with open arms and made her feel safe, loved and cared for. If you are in this position and need to place a loved one, stop looking! This is the place to be! Engagement, socialization, therapeutic, clean, safe… AMAZING! The facility is small, 1 level and has the perfect layout for residents. The staff to patient ratio is great. They provide 3 healthy and balanced meals, laundry service, house keeping, onsite salon, in house speech / physical / occupational therapy. Also group outings to different places including Kroger / Publix. One of the first things you will notice besides all the smiles, is that is feels and smells like HOME instead of a sterile institution. The facility is in the shape of a square with an amazing center courtyard for the residents to enjoy. Just this week she has been involved in so many activities: Bingo, arts/crafts, exercise class, music, and they invited the residents’ family member to join them for Thanksgiving dinner. There is always plenty of things to keep your loved ones active and engaged. All while being surrounded with skilled and supportive staff. Definitely check them out, you won’t regret it!

My two sisters and I have made the emotional (but necessary) decision to move our parents to assisted living due to age related issues. I met with Emily Nesbitt (Area Director of Operations) several weeks ago to tour the facility and discuss my family’s needs. She has been a godsend! Her guidance, compassion, and expertise has been priceless to our family as we navigate these uncharted waters. I’ve been introduced to her entire staff and the sense of compassion and community runs as a bright red thread throughout. The residents seem happy, engaged, and WELL CARED FOR. We are in the final stages of relocating our precious parents to Charter Senior Living of Franklin and our hearts are at peace. We are so thankful for all of the kindness and support from Emily and her staff!

Charter Senior Living is a welcoming, friendly and loving place. Our Mom loved living there. She enjoyed the activities, outings and friends she made there. I met with Emily, the Executive Director when we were looking for a place for our Mom. Emily followed up, communicated and made the transition seamless. Kelly, the Director of Wellness kept in constant communication with us during our Mother's stay. All the staff are professional and caring and know how to diplomatically resolve all situations. I would highly recommend Charter of Franklin.

When we needed an assisted living facility for my Mother, we visited three and knew that Charter was the best choice right away. The staff is professional but also warm and friendly and made us feel welcome and at ease right away. The environment is bright, clean and cheerful and the residents and staff seem genuinely happy. The food is great and they have a variety of daily activities and a couple of offsites each week. They have an app that keeps you up to date each day including pictures of activities. Trish did a great job of explaining the process and getting us set up. Kelly came to our house to do a nursing assessment and has helped us with medication and medical issues. Emily does a great job of overall coordination and communication. All of the other staff have been super as well! Would highly recommend!
