We can’t say enough good things about Charter of Troy. First and foremost, the staff from the director to head of nursing to Empower Me therapy to the aides and the kitchen staff and operations, EVERYONE is so kind, caring, supportive and helpful for my parents and our family. Communication and support as we settle in has been wonderful! We don’t worry that their needs, physically, mentally and socially, are being met and often exceeded. We were looking for a place where quality of living and compassionate caregiving is a priority. We found it here at Charter Senior Living of Troy.

Let me just say when looking for a safe place for my father n law to go to my first choice was looking at Charter Senior Assisted Living. The reason being was my mom lived at this asst living when it used to be Moningside of Troy. I was wishing that some of the same staff might still be there. Once I made the call and started speaking to the director, we both realized we knew each other she remembered my mother, and I remembered her I knew I was in great hands with my father-in-law moving into the new facility. There also was a handful of other Staff members that were there prior. I can only say I know my father-in-law is gonna get the same great care. I and will not have to ever worry because of the great team they have on board.

Charter is a great place! The staff is very caring and polite, just wonderful. The food is delicious, and everything is kept very clean and tidy. They offer great activities for the people living there. The cost for services seems very reasonable to me. This is a great place for seniors in need of assistance. Thanks for all you do!

My mom moved into Charter Senior Living of Troy in May, and despite her being less than thrilled about the food options (although she eats just fine when I join her - go figure!), she seems quite comfortable there. My dad passed away December 27th. They were married for 65 years, and lived in their home for 63 of them - so having to say goodbye to both was difficult, to say the least. We unexpectedly lost my sister in October of 23, and it really took a toll on all of us - and it left me to navigate these new & choppy waters alone. Charter has made it considerably easier for me to sleep at night. We had toured a few places, and she found CSL of Troy to be the most warm and inviting choice. I love the staff (we'll miss you, Brady, but it's great knowing that Kelsey will be stepping up to take the reins!) and I have come to know and love quite a few of the other residents as well. Carlee and Jordan are AMAZING human beings, and I can't begin to put a price on their care for, & support of, my mom. The aides & kitchen staff are awesome. Sherri is delightful. Dana is great. Derrick is a gift to us all. Janet works very hard - but I have spotted her on a few occasions. Josie, Sophie, Jennifer... Oh, gosh! I could go on & list just about everyone in the building and praise them for the important work they do, but I don't want to inadvertently leave anyone out, either! So please know that, if you work there, you are now the newest unofficial official extended members of our family! 😆 Thank you! 🫂💕

The care and concern my brother received from staff and specifically Brady Hollis (ED) and nurse Kelsey during an emergency was so appreciated. It is a homey, clean atmosphere and staff knows all residents by name. They do a great job of celebrating holidays and birthdays. I love that it is pet friendly too! My one recommendation would be healthier food choices. Otherwise they are frequently making updates.
