Exceptional Kindness from Adrian! ​"I had to share a wonderful experience I witnessed at Smith’s this past Monday. I saw a young man named Adrian patiently helping an elderly woman shop. He was incredibly kind—explaining bottle sizes, checking if items were too heavy for her, and making sure she was comfortable with everything she was picking out. ​I assumed he worked for the store, but when I asked, he told me he actually works for Morningstar and was assisting a resident. It was so moving to see someone treat their work not just as a job, but with genuine compassion and dignity. If Adrian is a reflection of the staff at Morningstar, they are doing something very right. We need more people like him!"

As with many Assisted Living Facilities, they run through employees, top & bottom, like water. No consistency of care or concern, only to make money. Highly advise not to place your loved ones here. Looks good, but run poorly.

I am grateful that Mom lives at MorningStar. I believe they have helped her to live her best life these last couple of years and I'm sure they will continue to do the same going forward. I helped Mom move into a previous assisted living facility, as well as getting my grandmother moved and settled a few times in her later life as needs changed. None of those places offered the peace of mind I enjoy with Mom living at MorningStar. The staff is top tier. Everyone is friendly, supportive, thoughtful and encouraging. Everybody puts a bit of themselves and their love into the care they provide residents, from med techs to housekeepers, kitchen staff and the concierge desk, maintenance and activities directors. They are in contact with me whether she's had a small tumble or having a great time enjoying activities. I know much of this is possible due to their wonderful staff to resident ratio. The support I, myself, have been offered by MorningStar has been invaluable. Mom has had some medical and physical changes in the last couple years. Managers have been proactive at each turn to help me get Mom any extras she needs or outside help that will ease the burdens associated with an aging parent. As an only child, sometimes these changes and decisions can feel overwhelming, but I've never felt alone. In addition to practical help, these wonderful people have been incredible listeners and give great hugs. The activities are abundant and fun. Flower arranging, painting, choir, karaoke, nail polishing, visits from musicians, visits from shelter animals, a movie theater, ice cream trolly, exercise classes... The list goes on. They make a point of inviting family and friends to participate in these, as well as weekly happy hour and delicious holiday meals. The building itself is new, bright and beautiful. Community areas are both aesthetically pleasing and super comfortable. There are frequently people hanging out around the fireplace lately, in the courtyard on warm days and laughing in the activities center year round. Life is always life, and things don't always go smoothly. We had a problem with the connected pharmacy and another with outside nursing staff. Both times MorningStar stepped in and handled things for us to ensure Mom's comfort and safety as she is their priority. Again, I am very grateful for MorningStar and everything they provide for Mom and myself. Especially the intangibles that can only be felt in our hearts.

My mom has been in Assisted Living for over 5 years. She and the entire community of her current Assisted Living facility are all being displaced and will be given a 30 day notice to vacate. With the entire community scrambling to find new Assisted Living accommodations we toured a few facilities and found Morningstar to be the perfect place for our mom. From the extremely friendly and compassionate staff to the many activities and delicious, nutritious meals, we found the apartments and studio layouts spacious, bright and extremely clean. Staff answered all questions without hesitation and in a professional and compassionate manner. The residents all appeared happy and were engaging in the many activities. It’s a beautiful facility and a perfect fit for our mom.

I was there to place my brother at Morning Star but found that I was looking for a room for myself, it was so comfortable And welcoming.
