I didn’t want to even give the one star but it was the only way to put a review. As of 4/14/23, the In-house doctor confronted my aunt about this google review regarding my great grandmother and now she is being forced to leave the facility in 30 days. My grandmother just got discharged from the hospital the same day. We are extremely disappointed.

As a family member that currently has a loved one residing at this location, I am so disappointed on how the In-House Doctor treated my mother today regarding FMLA paperwork for my grandmother (her mother). Not only did the doctor not know who my grandmother was and her medical condition, he had an attitude about it. I'm not going to speak too much about the lack of care she has been receiving but if you can not properly do your job and talk to people respectfully, maybe you should not work at this type of facility. As a healthcare worker myself, I am appalled. Please do better. We shouldn't have to worry about our grandmother while she is in your care. We visited 15 nursing/assisted living places. We returned to this one 3 times, bringing each of children. The minute you entered you felt warmth. We love ot

Mom lived here for only 8 months . During that time we came to know the staff and other residents. We really love the staff here. They are all very sweet and always smile. This is a private family owned facility. The owner is a retired doctor. He is almost there everyday. He is kind and very caring. The facility has a home like feel to it. It doesn’t feel like a hospital like other facility’s. I like that it has private seating areas scattered throughout the facility. You can always find a private area to visit your love one. They took really good care of mom. They helped mom get dressed and helped with her meals. They have a nice tv common area for visiting. They encourage residents to get up in the mornings and move about the facility. Some facility’s just let the residents sit in wheelchairs all day. That’s not the case here. This facility is the best value in the area. Unfortunately mom had a stroke and passed away. I will continue to stop in and visit . The residents there are very sweet. Thanks Mt Carmel for taking good care of our mom.

Staff is very caring towards the residents and treats everyone with respect and dignity. Atmosphere is upbeat and you see a lot of smiles and happy faces. Nurse Bobbie is outstanding! She is extremely diligent and communicates with the resident’s primary physician when it is appropriate. I highly recommend Mount Carmel!
