NHC Healthcare Dickson

A few years ago, I volunteered My own time through a local Hospice to visit NHC ...I would visit the Patient's, read to them, or Bring Birthday and Holiday Greetings cards. In the short time that I was a volunteer at NHC... what I witnessed and experienced there has left with me , A Negative Image that I will never forget. The Management Staff at that time was Very Rude, aggressive, intimidating and almost Confrontational in her behavior...the Nursing staff was certainly NO Better!! Patient's sat for hours on end in wheelchairs, in the same position without being repositioned , exercised or acknowledged... I also encountered Patients who told Me, that they had still not received their meal tray, even though meal time was hours ago. Informing the Nurses of what I was told, in an effort to help the Residents, only seemed to piss them off. My most shocking experience at NHC was witnessing these exact same Nurses, openly and loudly making negative and offensive comments about Me and others behind the Nurses station for not only Patients to hear but also their Families and visitors. I have worked in Healthcare for years, and I have seen some doozy situations, but NHC takes the Cake.

TERRIBLE STAFF, TERRIBLE PEOPLE , TERRIBLE PLACE. Do not bring your loved ones here they will be neglected the people here do not care about the residents they will go a very long time without changing them but when they do it’s never done properly and if this is how it is for my family I would guarantee it would be the same for everyone else’s do not put your family though the torture find a different place to bring them I hope they can investigate this place soon.

This place takes care of everyone so well. They are always open to questions and they keep you updated about your loved one. The nurses are very good at catching any new problems and the techs are so good! Even with stubborn patients like my mom. The housekeeping staff ALWAYS keeps it clean!!! It never smells or is nasty in this building. Super clean ALWAYS!!!! I can't express how grateful I am to find this place for my mom. You are ALL angels!!

My mother came in January 24th after a broken hip and stroke. We could not ask for better care. The nurses and techs are super caring. Therapist are amazing. We hope to keep her here long-term due to dementia. Super happy with our decision to have her placed her.

What a wonderful and caring place! My grandmother had a hip fx, she entered NHC for rehab. I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff. The nurses and aides took excellent care of her needs. The therapy dept was spot on, and she was able to return home. Thank you NHC for caring for my grandmother in such a loving way.
