NHC Healthcare Somerville

I so love NHC! I’ve been trying to get my husband a place there for years and by the Grace of God and some awesome workers there we got him in. They’re very concerned & loving to their residents and their care. I get phone calls often asking if I have any concerns or questions. Anything I need from them. They’re always available and very prompt to getting things done! I was very impressed with meeting the team as I call them (everyone who has anything to do with his care)! We’ve had horrible experiences with home care and a previous facility to the point of wounds on his body and malnutrition and NHC within a month got him healthy and healed. They even added 20+ lbs to his weight! The nurses and CNAs go above & beyond. Chelsea Bonner is an awesome nurse. He just loves her & trusts her. They make sure he’s happy and healthy! I can’t sing their praises enough from the admins to the cafe & janitorial staff I love them all. Not to mention the comments from his aunts who loves this place when they come to visit. There’s never any smells, always clean, and always nice. And he’s never left unattended, soiled, hungry, or anything that would be a concern. I thank God for you ALL NHC Somerville!

I want to thank everyone at NHC for your kindness, compassion, and the best care ever that you gave my mother while she was with you. You all became a second family to us. My mother enjoyed the staff, loved having her hair and nails done and really loved the bingo. Mom was truly happy. I will never forget any of you. You are the best and we love you! The best place for a loved one!!

My relative was cared for at this facility and they did an excellent job , the nurses and staff did a remarkable job with our family member . I would highly recommend them . It’s nice to feel comfortable when you leave a family member to be taken care of .

Since the administrator Janet Hunt started in 2021 this center has gone down hill! She is only concerned about what looks good on paper and how nice the building looks. Staffing levels have been cut to accommodate her budget which negatively impacts patient care. Countless staff members have left since she has started. She allows the “social worker” Laurel Welch (license can not be found on TN board of Social Workers) to admit inappropriate patients to the center even when Nurses and aides voice concerns about certain patients. Do your research before placing a family member here!!

I am so impressed with the staff and facility at NHC. Everyone is friendly, helpful and caring. The attention to details is phenomenal. There is no odor, it is clean and beautiful. My mom is there for short term rehab and she is very pleased with her care
