First off, they are NOT a nursing home, as their website results with their address shows. They're a memory care facility, so if you need skilled nursing, this isn't it. The cost is 5300 a month for 31 days. They do not offer any transportation, so if you end up at the hospital, it's on the family members to go get you and bring you back. I pulled my mother out after almost 2 years. I got tired of arguing with them. My last straw was when they made an appointment for her to see a doctor, without my knowledge, after she broke her collar bone. I found out, cancelled it, spoke directly to the woman in charge. Said she'd be sure everyone knew I needed to be notified. The next day, I showed up and found out that the same woman had PUT MY MOTHER IN A CAR and had taken her to the Dr appointment, shocked it was cancelled. Seriously? You were going to take my mother OUT of the home to see a Dr, and didn't expect I'd need to be there???? The director said they'd made an exception to the "no transportation" rule and approved for her to get a ride in the van from their other facility. Again, I was never told this. Even so, they were taking her to an appointment they themselves booked, never told me about, and weren't going to have me be present at. Not cool. She was never wearing the clothing I got her. The food looked like a TV dinner. They prescribed whatever they wanted, I had to explicitly state that my mother was not to get so much as a vitamin without me knowing it. I don't even think my mother had ever been outside to get fresh air. 5 UTI infections in 7 months until hospice stepped in. She broke her glasses, and I didn't know it for weeks. I asked where they were, a CNA said they'd put them in her drawer, we looked, nothing was there. Overall, it was a headache. She's home now, and she's missing about 100 grand worth of bridgework and dental work. Nobody thought to tell me she was losing her teeth???? I had to give 30 days notice in writing. The day before I picked her up, someone called to remind me that I still owed them 172 dollars for the one day she wasn't going to be there. She was sent home with a walker I didn't purchase. And someone else's bathrobe. Be aware, the pharmacy they use, is ALSO OWNED by the same company that owns the facilities. And regardless of your prescription plan, they will only fill a supply of medication for 14 days. So my mother's 30 day copays were useless Overall, it felt like they were just warehousing my mother for money.

Compassion, caring, and kindness is the best way to describe the assistance my husbands receives at Parkside. Nothing will ever be completely perfect when dealing with deficiencies in life, but Arbors has provided the support and services in such a wonderful way

The staff at The Arbors is kind and caring. Each helper is willing to pitch in and take care of the residents 24/7. The facility is cozy and comfortable. They recently redecorated the interior with updated wall paper and flooring. Our family is so grateful for The Arbors in Rolla MO.

They may have recently changed the name at this facility with the opening of their new building. But The Arbors at Parkside is still just as a amazing place as it was before. Their new memory care focus and secure facility will be just he thing your loved one needs to live a happy and a safe life.

The care is great, the rooms are always clean, and call lights are answered in a timely manner. The food is always delicious. When anyone enters the building they are greeted by one of the staff members and they always offer a drink or snack. Very beautuful community and amazing staff. They have great caring nurses and administrator. Parkside gets 5 stars and is very highly recommended.
