Poplar Estates Retirement Center

I LOVE this amazing assisted living community. My mother in law, Aunt, neighbor and now a couple I help take care of have all lived here. The caretakers and staff that work here truly care about each of the residents. They make it a point to get know each resident and their families on a personal level. The amount of comfort I have knowing my friends will be well taken care of when I am not present is absolutely priceless! Thank you to everyone that works at Poplar Estates.

When the time came to place our 87 year old mother in a retirement facility, we began the search to find the one most suited for her. When we set up a visit with Poplar Estates, we were met for a tour of the facility by the Administrator & her assistant. They were friendly, and unrushed. They answered our questions and provided verbal and printed information about the facility and its resident programs. We were very impressed with our tour and our tour guides. We came a second time, bringing our mother to see for herself and have a part in decision making. She has been a resident now for nearly 2 years and is very happy with the facility itself, the administrative staff, resident care staff, the friendly surroundings where there’s always someone to socialize with, three meals a day with no prep or clean-up required by her, an immaculate environment maintained by staff. There’s always help on hand if and when needed; an advantage for her and a comfort to us. Mom’s a happy camper at Poplar Estates and we’re a grateful family knowing she’s both safe and happy there. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident This is a top notch facility. My father has been there for about a year now. I now have personal relationships with the staff as they treat us all like their family. I am impressed with the time they take to understand each resident and find out their interests. My Dad likes NFL 24/7 and they make sure his tv is on and volume is to his liking. They are very quick to respond to my questions and inform me of any needs for my Dad. Jennifer and Dawn are very fair and hands on with the residents. Machalia is fantastic with his medical care. Angie and the other team members are very informative. Ms Yvonne in the kitchen is so sweet to my Dad and always has a smile. Sandy is great with activities. JR takes care of my Dads maintainence needs immediately and talks to him like a friend. My Dad had to go to SNF for a month and there is a definite difference in the personalization of his care. He is treated with respect at Poplar and they make him feel he is at home and happy. The rooms are very nice and roomy for family to visit. I also like how they keep my Dad's hair cut and clean shaved. I would highly recommend Poplar for your family if needed.

Over the last ten years, both my mother and husband have been residents of Poplar Estates, and they received exemplary care. My mom with dementia, and my husband a stroke patient; they had vast and unique needs that were met and tended to in a loving and compassionate manner. This level of care allowed me to work without worry and sleep with peace of mind that they were loved, respected, and cared for in a compassionate and skillful manner. My mom was able to live out her final days here without entering a nursing home, and my husband enjoys an active life there still today. Thank you Poplar Estates! I am forever grateful.

Poplar Estates is an amazing place. They care deeply for their residents. My mom and mother in-law were blessed to live there. I highly recommend them. Caring staff and great food. There are activities daily. Check it out.
