PRIMROSE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY OF JEFFERSON CITY

Primrose-Jefferson City is a great place to live. I have been here three months and love it. The residents are all very friendly and welcoming. The activities director, Mariah is so accommodating and hardworking. She always makes sure you feel comfortable.

My Mother-in-law was a long-term resident at Primrose in Jefferson City. She lived on the independent side for a number of years but as her health declined she transitioned to the assisted living section. As her health continued to decline the family was concerned that she would need to move to a skilled nursing facility but the staff at Primrose informed us that Hospice could be called in to assist and thereby allow her to spend her final months and days in familiar surroundings. We were so very fortunate to have several days at the end for the family to gather to say good byes. The staff was so attentive to her needs and to the needs of the family at the difficult time we were experiencing. Some of the staff even stayed after their shift was over that final night and sat with the family as the end neared. The love and care of the staff was very obvious. Laura Stratman

I have called Primrose home since it opened 10+ years ago. Doug has been here since the beginning, always willing to help with a smile. Also a shout out to Mariah who is the assistant LEC. She has kept activities going through 4 LECs in the last 2 years, quietly doing her job with a smile.

Our mother was fortunate to be a long term resident at Primrose in Jefferson City, Mo. Initially in independent living but the last five years in Assisted Living. We were very fortunate that Primrose, with hospice assistance, was able to allow mom to die in her home, surrounded by the things she loved without having to move her in her latter days. The staff provided great support to our family during this very difficult time. The nursing team provided great care with such professionalism up to mom’s last breath. My mother has been a resident at Primrose in Jefferson City for a couple of years or so. During those years we have navigated several ups and downs with her health and felt tremendous support from the nursing staff the entire time she’s been there. The Director of Nursing is amazing and has built relationships of trust, love, and caring with the assisted living residents. The nursing staff always makes me feel confident that Mom is well cared for and is safe. They are respectful and helpful, and also work to build those positive relationships with the residents that makes Primrose feel like a family. It hasn’t always been perfect but it was for the first year of Mom’s time there, and seems to be back to being the Primrose we knew and loved at the beginning. I’m grateful they have a corporate entity that keeps a watchful eye on things and makes changes so they can remain the best facility in town. I truly appreciate knowing Mom has a lovely, clean, and positively staffed place to call home.
