PRIMROSE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY OF KANSAS CITY

I have friend who lives here, she seems to like it. I trust her. Maybe in the future, I will move in when I get truly old if room is available.

Super disappointed. Staff is treated horribly!!!. You could hear the cook talking about which residents were eating too much. Some residents who needed help eating or who was brought to the dinning room were left till a staff member had to ask for someone to take them. Staff in dining room did not look happy.

My parents have been living at Primrose for the last 6 months. Prior to that they lived in a rural community for 56 years in a very beautiful but older home. There was never a time I wasn’t worried about their safety about what would happen if they needed help because there was no fire department in their town. There were no emergency services. that were closer than 30 minutes and they are 85 and 90 years old. Now that they are at Primrose is a completely different scenario every time we go and visit there are so many activities going on. My parents did not get out much before. The only people they really came in contact with was family. They have made so many friends. My mom is painting, playing cards, bingo,doing puzzles …..every time I go and visit, she introduces me to some new friends… They are safe and that’sthe biggest thing to me. They are closer to their doctors offices, right in the middle of the North Kansas City, where we can go to dinner or go shopping. The apartment is amazing and clean. The food is great the events they do for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Veterans Day every occasion. I just love every aspect of Primrose and I’m so happy that my parents are there and now when we go to visit it’s just very pleasant all the way around. They are thriving there, and the staff is so easy to work with and accommodating they always answer the phone or get back with me as soon as they can with any questions I have. I would Absolutely recommend Primrose if you want the very best for your parents or loved ones.

My brothers and I cannot tell you how grateful we are for the staff at Primrose. Our parents have been residents there for 2+ years. From Day One they were made to feel as though they'd been there forever. When dementia began overtaking them, the staff rose to the occasion, moving them closer to the nurse's station and checking on them every half hour and getting hospice involved for us. Our mother recently passed. In the days preceding her passing the staff was there round the clock not only for her and my dad, but also for us. They fed us, made sure all of our questions were answered and made sure we had the privacy and dignity we needed when she did pass. They are now making sure my dad is getting used to life without his wife. I would HIGHLY recommend Primrose retirement community to anyone who wants a second family cariing for their parents!

My parents moved to Primrose Retirement Community in Kansas City, MO from Arkansas to be closer to me. They were delighted with every aspect of Primrose. They loved their spacious apartment and outside patio. The staff was kind and caring. The activities and gatherings, including Ice-Cream Socials or snacks and drinks in the Pub gave them opportunities to meet and visit with friends. We would recommend Primrose to anyone looking the find a lovely place to live.
